Im making my 3 yr old daughter's bedroom into a big girl room with no mommy at night ;) We have some pretty pink paint for 3 of the walls. She LOVES DIsney Princess, and Loves Disney World (she won't stop talking about Bippity Boppity Boutique and we are 8 months out!).
SO I was thinking of doing one wall sort of a Cinderella blue and paint the castle on the wall. Im not too bad with tracing and painting murals. I did a Walle Bedroom for our 4 yr old son when he went into his big boy room.

Any coloring print outs, or basic pictures that anybody knows of?

Any other mural ideas are great, but Im not drawing a princess!! lol Faces Im not the best at. :)

Have you seen the Disney stuff at Home Depot? They have a castle wall cling and some Princesses too . I had painted Pooh bear and Piglet and Tinkerbell in my DD's old bedroom. Then we sold the house and I just couldn't bear the thought of it being painted over. Then this past year my girls got involved with Girl Scouts and one of the girls live in our old house! I finally got brave enough to ask her had they painted over it...and she said NO!! yeah!! It's her bedroom and she loves it:goodvibes

Well, out of curiousity, I'm searching for Cinderella castle outlines, and not much that's actually just the basic outline is coming up.

You can print an image onto a transparency sheet and use an overhead projector. There's also this other type of projector (the name escapes me) that you can stick an opaque sheet of paper into, and it will project. You might be able to borrow one from your local school or library.

If you think the actual castle will be too detailed, you might consider doing the basic silhouette that appears at the beginning of Disney movies. Here's an example - http://www.notcoming.com/animation/images/mk_disneylogo.gif

My friend's son wanted a woods/cabin themed bedroom, so she wanted to paint a forest mural complete with a moose! She found a clip-art moose and blew it up onto the wall using a projector that she borrowed from the library, penciled it onto the wall and painted it in! Turned out great!
If you can find a nice clip-art castle, try projecting it onto the wall and painting it in.
Don't forget to show us the finished product! I"d love to see it!

I would second the castle wall cling from Home Depot that gulf breeze mentioned. We are seriously looking at getting this for our youngest daughter who is a princess fanatic. The benefits I see with this are it's not super expensive, it looks very professional and it can be easily removed if you are moving or your daughter outgrows her princess phase. princess:

We used the Castle cling and then added to it. We made the mountains and trees extend with craft paint to make the whole image larger. It wasn't hard to do it this way.

I thought about the wall clings. I haven't seen the one from Home Depot and I wonder the cost here in Canada.
However I worry because I have had just the cheaper Princess wall clings and she has taken them and accidentally ripped them off the wall. So that is my worry with that.

I haven't started to paint her bedroom yet. Soon enough... I just need to figure out what IM doing.
