Whoa, just noticed on Google Earth that the moat in front of the castle is drained and it looks like construction equipment is staged in the newly made area.

The Galaxy Theater is gone and is now parking for a whole 35 cars. Doesn't really seem worth it, eh? The skyway building in TL is also noticeably shorter as the destruction job is complete and it is just a bathroom now. Looks like they put a nice planter in front of it.

Other things that are more obvious are that Pooh's playground is bulldozed (NOOO!!!!) and they have everything blocked off behind it and Ariel's Grotto.

Looks like they are either erecting a new building behind the main access road to the chunnel or that it may be another staging area.

Also behind the TT train station and across the drainage ditch they are clearing an area. The only thing that makes sense is that they will be building a new bridge and will have a new access point into the park.

If anyone has any pictures I’d love to see em. I just love to see the construction projects for some reason.:3dglasses

Don't forget Google Earth is not even close to real time. That parking lot was created during the renovation of Space Mountain and the moat was drained for construction earlier this year and it is filled now.

Maybe someday we will have Internet access to real time satellite imagery but this is as close as we get now. The pictures are only updated every several years or so.

You know the photos are dated when one is labelled "Eisner's new parking spot."

I can't speak for teh age of all o fthem, but the fantasyland one can't be more than a few months old. You can see the Great Fantasyland Wall in it.

When we were there April 25th, we rode Dumbo, and you could see the workers working on taking down Pooh's playful spot, but much of it was still in place at the time. I would say these pictures date from AFTER that point.

The imagery was just updated recently in Google Earth, and is from May, so its only two months old.

The Fantasyland expansion is supposed to fit within the existing access road, so the other areas are likely to be staging, although the one in back could be one of the "distant castle" facades as well.

I think that was a joke, that part is clearly new because that is where the Galaxy Palace Theater used to be just over a year ago
