Hi! Has a start date been released yet for the castle lights and Frozen holiday wish? I know it will at least start on the day of the first MVMCP but wasn't sure if an official first day had been announced.

TIA

Expect the Castle Lights to go on as early as Nov. 2-3.
Don't expect the Frozen Holiday Wish to begin until Nov. 9.

What is the Frozen Holiday Wish?

Short show that takes place on the Castle Stage featuring the principle characters from Frozen that is performed as a way to "turn on" the Castle Dream Lights in MK during the holidays.

Last year the Frozen Holiday Wish started two or three days after the last Halloween party. I can't remember the exact date or time frame, but it was well ahead of the first MVMCP since we left about a week before it and still got to see the Frozen show. I don't know if maybe it will be the same case this year (I hope so, otherwise I will miss it the day I go to MVMCP since I plan to be in a line for a character meet).

I agree about last year.
However, I took my start-date info from a normally reliable Disney info site. HERE.
A Frozen Holiday Wish – Behold an enchanting performance to melt a frozen heart. Royal sisters Anna and Elsa lead a celebration on the Castle Forecourt Stage nightly Nov. 9-Dec. 31...

But, absolutely ANYTHING is possible.

Last year Frozen was going on the Saturday of the Wine and Dine 10k cause DSis and I were exhausted from our 2am wake up call but powered through to stay in the park till the show

Is the nightly timing of this scheduled with consideration of the current sunset time or a set number of minutes prior to Happily Ever After? Is it only once per night and then the castle stays lit (with rotating colors)?

1. Timed to the lack of sunlight. (Not "sunset" but "darkness.")
And, the other evening shows can be tied to this timing, as well.
2. Yes. Although the lights are shut off during any of the "projection shows" and/or fireworks shows.
(Then, they simply re-light the lights without repeating the "ceremony.")
