Castle Inn ?

It's official- we are heading to DL in Novermber, 7-10. Three DD's and hopefully, SIL, and me. SIL has not been to DL for about 15 years. We are staying at the Castle Inn. Anyone like to share their views of this one? We have never stayed there before.

Every since I can rememebr I've wanted to stay there, but last summer while walking back to our hotel, I took a peek and boy was I disappointed. Once you get inside the big entry way it is very dirty and dingy and the rooms are not very nice at all. It doesn't look like the same hotel that you see on the outside. I would have to say that it was one of the worst I've ever seen. I mentioned this to my sister when I got back and she said that her family stayed there a couple years before and hated it. Sorry, but I wouldn't stay there. I'd try the Candy Cane Inn or Desert Inn and Suites. You'll get a lot better value for the money.

Yikes, I will have to see if I can change my hotel with Get-Away Today travel and see what else I can find within the hotels they deal with. Thanks for the info.

I have not stayed there, but the Tropicana gets good marks for an inexpensive motel (its a get-away-today value property also). The rooms reportedly are clean and come with a refrigerator and microwave. And the location can't be beat!
