Is it hard to get reservations for the Castle for lunch? We have never eaten in the castle and have this on our list as one of our "new" restaurants to try, as well as the breakfast buffet at the Maya Grill.

I can only relate our one experience to your question. Two years ago at 12:45 we were near Castle and said what the heck let's try and see if we can have lunch. We didn't have PS but were seated in less than 20 minutes.Just DW and I so that might have made it easier. We enjoyed our lunch we both had a sandwich and salad.:earsboy:  :earsgirl:

I dont know about lunch but we had a tough time getting PS for a party of 2 last year. In fact, we ended up taking reservations for a party of 4 and posted that we had seating for 2 on a Disney board. We found a couple to join us and had a very nice time. Good lunch on your lunch PS. If lunch is as popular as dinner, I would call 90 days out.

Lunch is not usually as difficult to get into. When are you going? Is it a real busy time? If it is during the holidays you might have a more difficult time getting in.

I think it is harder to get these days than it used to be. I call as soon as possible too.

I believe that it is harder still for a party of two as there aren't that many tables for just two. At least that was what I was told once when I had trouble getting a PS for just one son and me.

We are going 10/12-18 so I may be too late, but I'll try tomorrow morning. Thanks for the info.

We got a same day PS the first week of August.
Try to get a seat when they open for lunch and check in early to get a table by the window.

It was delicious.

Out of curiosity has anyone booked a table for three for dinner there and showed up with two? say someone got sick or something, did they seat you anyway?

Thanks everyone. Just got off the phone and have made a PS for Tuesday, October 13 at 12:40 p.m. This is a first time for me eating in the castle after 20+ visits. We are trying the castle for lunch and France for dinner as 2 of our "new" restaurants. Looking forward to them.
