We have had the breakfast/ brunch at the Castle and it was very well organized and worked well at the time. This time we would like to go back to the castle but are debating the dinner vs. breakfast options.

I am curious as to what people think about the options here and if they've had better experiences with one vs. the others (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Also, is the dinner a more formal meal, and does it work the same way, characters come to each table etc.?

Also, we've never reserved our meals before (except for the breakfast that one time) and are wondering if we should? I really don't like to be chained to a schedule around meals, but I've heard that places like "Sci fi" and the "50's Prime time" are prone to get crowded fast and should be reserved.

Thanks.

When are you going? That would be very important as to whether you need a lot of reservations. My advice would be to make reservations for any meals you really really want to do as it seems that it is getting harder and harder to get good times to eat. It really is hard to decide whether to make a lot because you don't always want to be on that scehdule. Good luck and enjoy

I can't offer any information on the dining at Cinderella's Royal Table because we've never eaten there. We aren't big breakfast eaters and the lunch and dinner menus just don't appeal to us. We usually eat at either Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace which are both delicious!

Relative to making reservations, I would definitely say that you need reservations. I, like you, don't like being tied down to a certain time each and every day but, since the dining plan has become so popular, it's virtually impossible to just walk in a table service restaurant.

We eat a light breakfast in our room, go to the parks and start park touring. We eat an early lunch (11:00 or so), buy a snack mid-afternoon and schedule a sit down meal for 8:00 p.m. This way, we can tour the parks efficiently and by the time our ADR rolls around, we are ready for a break and a nice meal. We eat our meal and then still have time to see the night time entertainment.

We do not leave the parks during the day so I plan our dining in whatever theme park we are in that day.

Hope this helps you out, Lisa

Make reservations! I've personally seen people turned away from Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, and 'Ohana.

CRT Dinner is different from the other meals there. First, your only meeting with a princess is with Cindy in the lobby of the castle. You have your picture taken with her, and the picture package is included as part of your meal price. I don't know if it is included in other meals. But you will not see here again.

Dinner is a bit more formal, and the character interaction after the lobby os minimal. There is a little show put on by the fairy godmother and teh mice, Suzy and Perla. They do whisk around to all the tables, sing the bibity, bobity boo song, and that is it. THere were no other character interactions, or interruptions. We thought the food was good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was outstanding.

We had dinner in Cinderella's castle about a month ago. We LOVED the food (it was a set price and everyone gets appetizer, food, and dessert). The service was absolutely amazing. We had 2 little girls with us, but it was ok that it wasn't chock full of princesses. We just all enjoyed eating together.

If you're debating whether or not to do dinner....do it..but make your reservation for right when the park closes. I think when we went, the park closed at 9 pm...and that's when our reservations were! By the time we were done..about 10:30, we left the castle and NOBODY was in the park. That alone was worth the price of dinner! We took our time walking down Main Street, taking pictures, etc. It was totally magical.

I know the dinner is expensive...but make late reservations, and you will be soooo happy you did! :cutie:
