Castle crane

SAw pics from my wife's friend who was in magic kingdom either Sunday or Monday & there was a crane doing work on the castle during the day. Anyone know what is going on with the work?

The crane is here until the end of March doing some upkeep on the upper areas of the castle.

I read somewhere that it takes a couple months to take the Christmas lights off of the castle, could be that.

It was me who said that. We were told it takes a few months to take the lights off, when we took the Keys To The Kingdom Tour. If you know the WDW hierarchy,then you know that the people with "plaiditude" know the truth. If they have a plaid skirt,they know what's going on.

We've been there twice in September and the crane was there too. We were told that they were putting the Christmas lights ON.

It does not take "a few months" to take the Christmas lights off, it takes a few weeks at most. The crane is there longer this year to do additional maintenance work on CC as Robo said.
