Castle - Crane???

We were in Disney Sept 28 - Oct 4 and one memorable site was the crane at the castle every morning. Usually pretty early (we had a castle view at GF), and by mid-day it was down, but still blockaded behind the castle. Any one know what was going on? It made for interesting photos!!!

They were removing the gold from the castle from last years celebration and also painting the blue spires back to a beautiful blue instead of the faded blue it had become. We were there one day, castle had the faded blue spires and later that same day, they were deep blue again.

The castle is the main symbol of Disney. I wonder what castle is the largest in all the Disney theme parks?

During our trip, the crane was there off and on. They were re-painting the little blue roofs. It looked like that was almost finished on 10/18 when were were last at the MK.

I think the crane is currently gone, but not sure.

It must stink for Disney when they try and do construction in the parks. They are open 365 days a year! That means that they have NO chance do construction when the parks are closed, because they never are!
