Here is the email I just recieved from DPS:
Hi Tanya,
Thanks for your patience. I was finally able to talk to my contact at Magic Kingdom about this. They are preparing an email with information to send to those of us who need to know about it. He didn't find out about the construction until Thursday. We don't hold back information concerning a location our brides are using if we know about it. Actually, there are no definite plans yet. IF it happens, it will start in August with the back of the castle and the front should be worked on starting in January (one ramp at a time). They don't ever do all of it at once, so there will still be angles and areas we can work with. They will not be working during Christmas parade rehearsals & taping and during the January marathons, but those times are already blocked out for bridal portraits anyway.
Cranes are not as difficult to photoshop as the scaffolding and construction walls. In the past, we have posed the couple in all the various areas around the castle and if necessary, photoshopped them into a previous photo of that area. That way, you have still posed at the castle in the Magic Kingdom. I'm sorry that I can't guarantee or promise anything for you. You can schedule your session for April, but we'll have to work around Easter weeks (only 5am shoots or block outs) and Grad Nites (trusses for 2 weeks). Let me know if you have any other questions or if you know what you would like to do.
Thanks again for your patience,
Karen
