Castle cake topper preservation ideas?

Anyone know if you can preserve the chocolate castle cake topper? We were able to get it home in one piece and would love to be able to keep it. It's too pretty to eat! Someone mentioned a spray that could preserve but wasn't sure what would happen if it go too hot. Any ideas would be wonderful!!!

I would shellac it many, many times, and then store it somewhere cool and out of direct light. Try it first on a regular piece of chocolate as a test and see what happens.

Preserving it is such a great idea! Ours has been in its box in the fridge since last January. My husband did not want to eat it. We havent even opened it, I wonder what it looks like now! please update if u do try to preserve it!
