Castaway Family Beach Questions

So after 7 DCL cruises, DH and I have a new plan for Castaway Day. As child free folks, we have usually headed off the shop early to run the 5k and then spent the day at Serenity Bay. We have never been on the Family Beach side. This trip, we still plan on running the 5k, but we are booking the wave runner excursion and plan to do lunch on the family beach side. Is there something fun to do on the family beach side...some kind of water slides or something?

Are they usually crazy busy? Will I have to wait in line? Also is there a charge for this?

No charge. It could be busy, it could be not. Hard to say. The days we were there, you pretty much must walked directly into the water and swam out. The line on the platform was about 10-15 people long. Once off the slide, you must exit the water and re-enter to go again.

Totally agree! We have done parasailing, yoga on the beach, cabana massage, serenity cabana, snorkeling, biking....but never the family beach! We have done lots of other cruise lines too, but Love DCL for its service, beauty and its private island, the best IMO.
