Castaway Club

Two weeks back from cruising and I miss it...can anyone tell me what the Castaway Club is (Dis Cruz Vet I think), how quickly do you get info from Disney about your membership, and what the benefits are?

As a previous Disney cruiser, you are definitely a member! It does take them a while, ok it takes them a long time, lol, to send out the info sometimes. You can always call DCL and they can provide you with your membership number however.

Castaway Club members receive a gift on their next cruise in their stateroom. It is currently a plush beach towel and two pins. Prior to this gift the selection was a CC Beach and/or duffel bag also very nice. You will receive an invitation on your next Disney cruise to the Castaway Club members reception which is a nice gathering including complimentary beverages and snacks.

There is also a Castaway Club check-in line at the Cruise Terminal.

We were on the 7 night Eastern on January 25 and our Castaway Club info arrived today - March 8, so about 5 weeks after we got home.

You will also get an invitation to a special return cruisers cocktail party with the captain, next time you sail. Free drinks and snacks!!!!

A note on the CC special check-in line....it is not always the wisest choice to stand on that line because it can be quite long sometimes....you can stand in any line in the terminal. The CC line does not really provide anything special...we usually just look for the shortest line when checking in.
