Castaway Club?

On the DVC site this morning, it mentions the following:


<quote>Also, don't forget any special needs of those in your party
(i.e. medical, dietary, pregnancy restrictions, birthdays or anniversaries), and tell us whether you are a member of the
Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club, if so, please provide your Castaway Club number. </quote>

Why are they asking about the Castaway Club - anyone know?

It's been so long since we cruised... I remember getting something about this after we returned. Would we have gotten a member number?

You should have gotten a beige plasitc card with your membership number on it. If you did not, you can call DCL Castaway Cay program @ 1-800-449-3380 and ask for your number, they will be able to find it for you based on your name and the date you cruise. I think they will also ask your address and a few other questions.

You will want to give it to them because return cruisers usually get a gift in thier stateroom upon check-in. In addtion they usually have a return cruiser reception with the Capt.

I just read this about the Castaway Club on the DCL Website (Under the "benefits" of the club):

Priority Check-In
At the Disney Cruise Line terminal, Castaway Club Guests are offered priority check-in at the dedicated Castaway Club desk.


Do you think this will be in place for the DVC cruise?

BTW - I called the number you gave me, TnRobin, and she easily found mine and DH's number - even though we haven't sailed since 9/98.

Glad you were able to get your number. As for the Special Check-in, I expect it to be in place when we cruise. It is not always shorter than the other lines. Just choose from the shortest line when you arrive.
