Castaway Club questions?

We went on our 1st Disney Cruise last Feb --Loved it! Planning another for Jan 2005. I'm wondering how to sign up for the Castaway Club and what benefits we receive from it? We have our ressie through Dreams Unlimited. Thanks

i thought you were automatically a member after your first cruise but you have to ask for your card? they sent ours about a month after our cruise but that was 2 years ago

You're automatically signed up once you've taken your first cruise. They used to send membership cards out a few weeks after your cruise, but a lot of people say that they never got their's. You can call 1-800-449-3380 to request your card.
On your next cruise you will have priority check in at the port, a free stateroom gift (beach towel and pins) and a party just for Castaway Club members onboard.

RE: Castaway Club.

You don't need a card. If you have the approximate time that you sailed with DCL prior to your planed trip, they will look you up in the computer (verify information that they have on you already).

As far as "benefits" go, currently you get a stupid towel and a couple of pins (big whoop de doo!) The biggest benefit is from actually being on the ship and being able to book your next cruise at a discount while on board.
