Castaway Club Question???

Last year in August my family took a 7-day Magic cruise. Shouldn't we be automatically enrolled in the Castaway Club? Called in January and they didn't have any record of enrollment, the CS rep said it would take 6-8 weeks to get the information to us. Well, guess what, we are still waiting. So I called last weekend and CS rep said again that there was no record of the request. This time though, she couldn't give me a date when, or even if, I would receive any info. After all that, here is the question:

What are the benefits to being a Castaway Club member? Is it necessary that we have any documents prior to our August 17th sailing?

I believe the benefits of a CC membership include special lines for check in at the port, a welcome aboard gift in your state room, and a return cruiser cocktail party with the captain of the ship. Also, I think it includes a $200 shipboard credit IF you book a return cruise while you are on the ship.

My stuff came about four months after we cruised. If you call to get a quote or make a reservation, you could indicate that you cruised with them before, and maybe they would be able to look up your number for you. hope this helps.

I cruised last June with 13 of my family members. I was the only one who got my CC stuff in the mail. Recently we decided to go again in March 2003 but in order to get the benefits you need to give DCL, DU or TA your CC member number. This number comes printed on a card that you recieve in your packet. I just gave the rest of my family the CC phone number and they called and spoke with a rep who looked up their file and verified that they were on the June 2001 cruise and when I was at their house to celebrate the fourth of July they all have since recieved their card. But the good news is that when you call Castaway Club they can give you your number over the phone so that you can have it applied to your reservation. That is what my parents and sisters did. Hope this helps:)

Just back from my second cruise and have never received anything from the Castaway Club. Called and got my number they applied the information to my reservation and I had my ship board credit (you used to get it even when you booked after sailing), a very nice towel and invites to the Captain's Cocktail when we boarded.

Thanks for the info! Just called and got all of our numbers for the entire party (9). Asked about the credit and she said they no longer offer it. Bummer! Oh well, still will be great having a separate boarding gate. :smooth:

WHATS THE NUMBER TO CALL I ALSO HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY CASTAWAY CLUB NUMBER FROM LAST MAY AND I AM GOING IN NOV. 2002 AND MAY 2003 LORD WILLING...

boomerwon.....with CC club you do not having a special boarding gate. There is a CC check in line at the port, but you do not get anythng special by being in that line. If another check in line is shorter, use that. You still have to board with everyone else. Wherever you wind up in the boarding line is where you will be for the wait.

No special boarding unless you are handicapped or are in one of the Cat 1, 2, 3's.

The return cruiser reception is very nice and I hear the new CC return cruiser gift is a CC logo beach towel (one per stateroom, not person).
