Castaway Club Check In

At boarding what do you need to show that you are a member of the Castaway Club. Do you need your castaway club card?

Nope...you don't need anything. It should already be noted on your reservation that you a return cruiser. If you are in doubt whether or not it is noted, give DCL or your TA a call to make sure. Don't even bother standing in the CC club line unless it happens to be the shortest. We always just look for the line that is the shortest and hop on that one to check in.

Once in your room you will received your CC gifts from your room host. Some leave them on your bed, some hand deliever them and have you sign. It depends on the room steward.

You will also receive an invitation to the return cruiser reception. That will come to your room on about the first or second day of the cruise.

Just to also let you know, that we did not recieve our invite for the party until the 3rd night of our 4 night cruise. I actually went down before we received our invite the 2nd day to guest services and they gave me invite. We ended up with 2, but I kept one for my scrapbook.

We are DVC members and are cruising on points this May. If we book another cruise on points will we be Castaway Club Members too? Don't you get some extras on the cuise if you are CC members? I thought that I read about beach towels and pins.

Return cruisers receive a beach towel, 2 pins and an invite to a party.

Are they still doing towels and pins?

I liked the bag they had last year, I still use it because it's very sturdy and functional.

I traded my extra pins at WDW and they go over wonderfully!

If we are non US resident and we are CC member (return cruiser), can we use the CC line for check in or we have to go on the non US citizen check in counter ?

I believe you have to go on the non-U.S. line. The CC line is really just another line, nothing special about checking in on that line and it does not go any faster just because you are a return cruiser. We just look for the shortest line and get on that one.

Yep, still pins and towels. I miss the bags too although I must admit that the towels are very cute. My favorite bags were the original blue ones, rather than the black ones that they gave away later. Anyone remember when they gave away the photo frames?
