We just returned from sailing on the Dream this month and now it appears my son has been bitten by the Disney cruise bug! We are looking at sailing next March but I am not sure if the water will be warm enough. For those that have sailed in March did you find the water temperature at Castaway Cay warm enough for swimming? I've cruised to the Bahamas in March back in college and remember the outside temperature was lovely but I can't seem to remember if the water was as well. Any insight will be much appreciated!

We cruised in March 2014. The Aquaduck was too cold for me. I did it once and that was enough. I spent a couple hours in the water at castaway cay. It was a little cool getting in but once in the water was lovely. We're Canadian though so I don't know if that makes a difference. We will be in shorts and tshirts in Florida while locals are wearing earmuffs and gloves.

The average water temperature in March is about 75 degrees, the lagoon at Castaway is probably a bit warmer than that. Most people think a comfortable pool temperature is in the low to mid 80's.

We've cruised in January and I (and my son) thought the water was warm enough to play in. We're heading back in January 2016.

We swam in February two years ago. But like the previous poster, we're from New England so the water was warmer than the ocean gets here in the dead of summer. It's all a matter of perspective!

I am from Arizona and it was chilly to cold at the end of March in 2014. I went in and adjusted but was chilled. Loved the island at this time though.

I think we will give it a go! My husband is from PA so even if it is a bit cold for me, I bet it will be just fine for him and our son :)

We cruised in March 2013 and I managed to get into the ocean ankle deep. It was cold. But it was a beautiful day!

We always cruise in January/February! I always swim in Cast Away and its fine! The water is much warmer than that of the Aquaducts! Ha ha! So I'm quite positive it will be fine in March! :yay:

I'm from Florida and the water was too cold in October for me. Wimpy wimpy lol

Just sailed late March 2015 and the water at CC was nice it did take some getting used to. We were ale to spend all day getting in and out of the water. I live in Florida btw. So I think it should be fine and they also heated the water in all the pools and on the Aquaduck as well.

Done a couple of mid-March trips. Castaway is cool but so worth it. Aquaduck was a 'good god why don't they heat the water on this thing' moment. Water itself is fine, but there is a point when you get splashed up the back that makes you rethink what you are doing.
