Castaway Cay submarine question

In regard to the sunken submarine from the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction on Castaway, would it be possible to float on an inflatable raft to it? I know there is a canvas on the sub, but are there underwater fences preventing people from getting too close? Can you bring rafts into the snorkeling section? Thank you.

We have been to Castaway Cay twice and from what we have experienced, no rafts are allowed in the snorkeling area. They have a roped off section just for the snorkeling, and then a section for family swimming, a teen section, and all the way around the bend is the adult area to swim. We have only seen floating tubes, rafts, and mats in the swimming sections -- I guess because snorklers might inhale water into those breathing tubes if splashed or bumped by floats nearby.

We finally saw the submarine this trip while snorkeling -- and it was way in the back area -- not the area for beginners. But even a newbie snorkeler like me was surprised at how quickly one finds themself way out there --- hahahaha -- looked up to adjust my mask and boy had I gone quite far from shore!
