Castaway cay reservations & lines?

Our family just received forms for reserving excursions, etc. on our 11/10 4 day Wonder!

We need to set things up so some of us can participate in an activity while others watch little ones on the beach.

The paperwork is not particularly clear and even the answers we got from DCL seem a little "fuzzy".

When reserving Castaway Cay parasailing for instance, do you indicate a time when you want to go and just be there?

We have heard that there are lines for everything on the cay. How can that be if people have advance reservations?

The parasailing and banana boats are reserved for fixed times.

If you reserve 11am for parasailing you should be there 10 minutes before to sign the release forms. The location of the parasailing being right when you get off the ship means you have to allow time to get back.

The banana boat is again reserved by time, and again they ask you to be 10 minutes early to sign the release forms. The boats will leave you behind if you are running late. The location is by the water craft rental just a short walk from the tram stop.

The water craft rental cannot be reserved, it's first come first served, and you rent by the 1/2 hour and beleive me after an 1/2 hour of paddling/peddleing you are ready to come in. I personally have never had a problem waiting to renting water craft execpt when they had the battery powered sun-kats. (Sadly now discontinued since the salt water kept shorting out the electronics)

The snokel and floats rentals are all day, and there sometimes is a line but it move quickly, and there are seperate lines for if you prebook.

The bike rental is by the hour and you can do the enitre path 2-3 times in that time period.

In his message above, hubby forgot to mention that there is sometimes walk up availability for both the parasailing and the banana boat. That's not always the case, but he has lucked out on two of our trips.
