Would anyone be able to tell me about the bike rentals at castaway cay? My dd will be 7 at the time of our cruise and I was curious if they have bikes to rent that will be small enough for her. Also, is it worth it to rent the floats on the island or should we pack some from home? I have no idea what kind of floats they are and someone suggested to bring your own from home.
When we were last at Castaway Cay we rented bikes for the day. They had bikes for children your daughters age. They even had bikes with child seats on the back for taking smaller children! The bikes are a mountain bike style and some had hand brakes and some had traditional rear wheel brakes.
The rate was $6 per hour but they didn't enforce the rental time period. I think we kept the bike more than an hour.
They have two kinds of floats...big, round, clear innertubes and blue foam mats. I find it convenient to rent them there, but some people buy cheap ones at home and then just disgard them rather than bringing them back. Either way is a good way to enjoy the water.
