Castaway Cay post office on Sunday?

So, I read here on disboards about mailing yourself a postcard from Castaway Cay. I thought it was a great idea and incorporated it into my fish extender gifts also. It truly just hit me that we'll be at CC on Sunday! Does anyone know if it will be open? Thanks

In all likelihood, it won't. But, there are times it's not open on a weekday, either.

There is a rumor you can purchase stamps on board, and that there is a mail slot you can drop it in at the post office if they are not open.

We were at Castaway cay on Sunday and I am sure it was open in our cruise. We started the cruise on a Friday, the bext day was Nassau and then CC. We posted items. However they take months lol but it is fun.

We went to CC on a Sunday on our first cruise and the post office was open. It never occurred to me that it was a Sunday. We just went in and bought a stamp and mailed our post cards. We sent 2 back home. One was delivered a few weeks later the second didn't come for a few months.

Of the four times we have been to CC the post office was only open once...you take your chances.

If it isn't open, just take your postcard to Guest Services. That is what I did this past February and they sold me a Bahamian stamp and when I got the card at home it was postmarked Castaway.

Learned this the hard way, but remember to put the country you are mailing to in the address, or it will take forever for the cards to arrive.
