Castaway Cay Parasailing Question

I think it is a weight issue. I believe you can go solo as long as there is enough weight. But, I could be wrong. I am sure someone with first hand knowledge will have an answer.

Oh no! You mean my daughter and I parasail together? How will I get pictures then? Will cm take picture and video of it?

Hmmm I think OP's question took a left turn ...

Does anyone know if you will have to ride with a stranger if you 5 people doing the parasailing at Castaway Cay?

IME the boat would be close to full with 5 so I doubt you'd get others ... but this may depend on TIME and your particular cruise..... often this is NOT anywhere close to an overbooked excursion ..... we did it once, as a WALK UP in the afternoon and we - 2 kids and dad - were the only 3 on the boat ... most folks who do book this ahead of time tend to go early . . . IME

The "standard system" can take two up at once ... there is both a minimum weight for the system and a maximum. The folks running the system will prefer to run you two at once IME - if dd is small you NEED to go with to get the system up to minimum weight. I've always carried a camera UP with me .... that is not a problem (unlike other situations where if you drop it, it could hit someone ... all it might hit here is a SHARK!!!!!) {dunno about a selfie stick as my experience was b4 that invention} A picture from the deck of the boat is only going to show a speck in the sky .... the cable is LONG . . .

Both times we, my wife, my now-11 year old daughter, and I, have parasailed on Castaway Cay, our daughter has gotten to go up with each of us, so she gets two rides. I have never seen anyone paired with someone that is not part of their group, i.e. - a stranger.

We must parasail at busy times because my mother was paired up with a complete stranger. It was kind of weird but she is a super good sport.

Also have always been tandem with DD when we were a party of 2 and 3 (with mom above).

One time was in March (spring break) and the other time was in May (right before Memorial Day) FWIW.

Guess I need to master the art of selfies and filming us in the air quickly.
