Where can I go to find out about the couple's massage on Castaway Cay? I know you have to make a ressie but was wondering the cost, description, times, etc. Thanks for info ahead of time! :earsboy:

I've been to both of those sites but can't seem to find anything about the massages on Castaway Cay. I only found info on the Spa. Please help!

I'd love to do a massage on CC, but I'm afraid I'll have sunburn by the end of the cruise and it'd be painful! DH and I will have our couple's massage on the ship, maybe the first full day, and hopefully won't have sunburn then. I DO slather on the sunscreen but usually get at least slightly sunburned when out in the sun like that.

We were on the Magic last week. I couldn't find anything either, other than we had to book asap when onboard or we would'nt get a spot. As soon as we boarded, (immediately when the ship opened up) we raced up to the spa. There were already NO couples massages left, though they said they could put us both in 1 cabana that had a dividing partial wall so that we could talk.
We snapped it up. We got 10 am (earliest possible). For the massage we were given a message to meet at the spa in the morning and we'd be excorted to the cabanas, which was nice, since we didn't know where we were going. We arrived a the cabana right on schedule and I had Nonka from Zimbabwe. FANTASTIC! I thought this little tiny gal isn't going to be able to give me a good massage......WRONG. We've traveled the world and has massages in a lot of places and she was by far the best masseuse I've ever had. Her techniques were awesome! It acutally kind of hurt, which to me is good. I don't want people just rubbing oil in, I want a MASSAGE! She was fantastic! My husband said that his gal was awesome as well. We ended up in the same cabana with the dividing wall, but didn't talk to each other anyway, just relaxed. It was way too cold and windy (55 degrees) when we arrived, so they kept the cabana window closed, but it didn't matter, I had my eyes closed and could hear the ocean and the wind and the birds (and my husband snore a few times...hehe). When it was over, we opened the window for a few photos. (The top 4 feet of the cabana is screened, so it feels like you are outside, don't worry). You choose which massage you want when you arrive at your cabana. My husband and I took the most deluxe package "Well Being Massage w/ facial". It was $115 without tip. I tipped well! There was the smaller one which was I believe $75.oo.

Hope this helps!

That is the best part!

mrsfuzzmo, do we tip with cash or do we put the tip on our card. I would want to do the massage you did and I was thinking about $50 for a tip. Would that be okay or is it too much?

Tina, on www.castawayclub.com there are descriptions in the various trip reports on which I've had the CC massage. I don't get it every time. I've almost always had a fabulous experience. There was one time when a drunken group set up camp in front of the massage cabanas and I spent the hour listening to their stories about ripping off clients instead of the ocean (they were part of a large group sailing on that particular trip). But other than that, it's great. My only regret is missing some island time to do it. I usually get an early appointment and kick off my day that way.

You add the tip right onto your card/bill. They will ask you for your KTTW card and then write out a bill for you. My husband and I tipped $30.00 ea. I thought that was pretty generous. $50.00 would be a lot, but if you think it was worth it, go for it! The girls are really fabulous.

PS Make sure to use the restroom before you go into the cabana. I didn't and though I thought I didn't have to go, massages seem to bring the fluids out of my system and I had the urge from about 15 minutes into the massage on! Just a suggestion.
