Castaway Cay lockers?

No lockers. We usually take only what we wouldn't miss terribly if it walked away. I wear a small drybox that holds our KTTW cards & IDs and my camera is waterproof so I just keep it with me. We leave our shoes, coverups, sunblock, beach toys etc. when we go off and do something. We do gather it up and keep it all together on one chair so that it's not all spread out in plain view. In 8 cruises, we've never had a problem.

If you ride the jet skis, they have a storage box to put your items in, and someone stands right there watching over everything.
But like the PP, I use a waterproof fanny pack for the small things we need, and it stays with me, in the water and out. Towels are provided, so there isn't much else to worry about except our flip flops, and in all our stops at Castaway Cay, we've never had anything come up missing.

I don't feel like there is much chance of anything getting purposely taken...
(I did read about a video camera that went missing but an exact camera was also found so I think it was an accidental swap.....) However there is every chance that I will lose it, get it wet, drop it in the sand, leave it in a restroom, spill sauce all over it...well you get the picture so whatever "it" is that I may be worried about I just leave in the safe in my room.

Thanks everone for the responses. My concern is actually for my twins' cochlear implants (x4). They can use them up until they get into the water, so I would like them to use them to hear as much as possible, but feel uncomfortable actually bringing them into the water on purpose (even with a waterproof container) since it represents over $35,000 worth of equipment. I have many months to consider my options, was just hoping there was something secure there on the island. I don't think anyone would take them, just wanted to keep them as safe as possible as accidents happen!

Thanks again!

Ahh, now I see your concern. Expensive and important. I doubt that anyone would take them but there are other potential hazards. I've seen these small beach safe thingies that attach to a beach chair or an umbrella pole. Maybe on Amazon? They were small, low profile and not too expensive. If you're thinking you need someplace safe for the implants one of those might work.

I would look into a portable safe that you can take on the island with you that will one protect them from the sand and water and also deter people from stealing (not that I can see anyone doing so).

My suggestion is to talk to Guest Services when you get onboard. Actually the first day onboard is pretty busy for them...so maybe the second day....anyway, explain the situation. They might be able to find you a place, such as behind the counter at She Sells....(the little shop on the island) where they can be stored safely.

In my case when I was in the water with my kids (I wear a cochlear implant) one other member of our party always seemed to want to be sleeping in the hammock or on one of the lounge chairs - so I left my cochlear implant with the individual that was on dry ground. Personally I just do not want to leave it with someone I do not know - it's WAY too important to me! Castaway Cay is incredible and the only people there are people that are on the boat with you - and most likely not someone that would take something on purpose.

You could also look into getting a small lock box that can attach to a beach chair. I have never used one or owned one but I have considered it. Here is a link to one that I have seen for sale online.

It looks like it would keep them safe and near you without having to have someone directly watch over them. Hope you enjoy your vacation and find a good solution.

Since the poster you're quoting posted over 5 years ago, I'm fairly certain they figured out something.

I recently read a post on a blog about a tote bag that locked and also locked to your chair. I can't seem to find the link to the product and the blogger was just on a cruise last week using it for the first time. She promised to review the product. I'm anxiously awaiting her review as I am thinking about one for our cruise next June. (BTW, not sure if I can say which blog it is on here!)

This type has been recommended on this board. http://www.kyssbags.com/
I still recommended talking to GS about the situation. Even if you never went on CC I would want to talk to them to know about my $35k worth of medical equipment. This issue could come up in the kids clubs too.
