Just got notice from Disney that the personal watercraft (jetski) excursion at Castaway Cay is no more. As in: not even an option anymore. I am bummed because I had it booked for my upcoming Dec crusie and Disney just emailed me saying it was canceled. There isn’t a lot that can beat the tour around CC with Bahamian salt water splashing in your face.

Anyone know why this excursion was 86’d?

received the same email today, kids are all finally at an age that they could go on their own, disappointing.
I was not surprised to see the email, others have posted they were not operating.
Kids will figure out something else to do.

We are booked on the Fantasy cruise departing on 12/28, and have booked the Guided Watercraft Ski Adventure for the CC stop. I have not yet seen an email about this, and the activity still appears to be intact as part of our Plans. I will keep my eyes open and report if I get bad news.

Please do! We are on the 1/25 Fantasy cruise and have this booked (still showing on app under port adventures). It has become a fun tradition for my family and we would miss it.

Our tour was cancelled for our cruise later this month. I didn't receive a notification but it disappeared from our itinerary. I called Disney and they said the tour is operated by a third party who has permanently cancelled their tours at Castaway. He didn't have any other info, but I'm hoping they'll try and find a new company willing to offer the tours!

Thank you for the update! I hope they find a new company, too.

I am just guessing, but if the company is based out of Abaco, and it may very well be, they must still be recovering so much from Dorian that running the Jet ski business just isn’t possible.

I’m almost positive thats why next years sailings haven’t been notified. Disney is hoping, and probably will have a contract in place to cover by then. Sorry to all those who were canceled on short notice. Maybe in another port?

That was my thought as well. Which makes me sad for the tour operators.
I spoke briefly with a couple of the women at the bike rental booth on CC on our recent cruise, asking how they and their families were doing. While they were being as positive as possible, they indicated that it has been a rough time.

Oh no! We booked this last August when we sailed on the Dream, but it was canceled due to storms.

We are sailing the Magic in November 2020 and had talked as a family that we would probably have better chance at doing it then, because we (hopefully) wouldn't be dealing with daily thunderstorms.

Please keep us updated.

Interesting. We are sailing in January and I looked at booking that in September.

What I thought was concerning was it was $187 for an hour. My DH and son did that excursion in 2011. Boy have prices done up in 8 years.

My 3 grown sons wanted to do the jet skis, I guess I am kind of happy if it’s not available! lol
