What do you do at CC if the weather is Cooler? Looks from the forecast, we might not have perfect weather this week. Is the water temp cold too? Rough seas? Do most people stay on board all day? I guess you could ride the bikes, go for a walk? This is of course if we get to dock. (I'm a little worried). (ok, a lot worried). :confused3

We sailed in Jan of '03 and Jan of this year. In '03 the temp at CC did not get above 65 or so...part of the day was sunny and people were still in the water. When the sun went away it did get cool and breezy. We still stayed on the island all day.

Here is a link to our pics at CC that day. Just click on each individual pic to enlarge it.

Then in Jan of this year the temp was more like 80 and beautiful. We were in the water all day!!!

We have also sailed in Feb a few times and had great, warm weather at CC.

You certainly could stay on the ship but we enjoy the island, even if it is on the cool side. Now if was rainy, I would stay onboard!!

We sailed a few weeks ago. It was cool the morning we arrived at CC. We got off the ship, searched out some good chairs and rented some bikes. Fortunately, it warmed up before midday, so we were able to enjoy some really great beach time. If it had stayed cool, however, there is a game pavillion with ping pong, basketball, board games, etc. We would have enjoyed those offerings, had lunch and headed back to the ship. If the weather is inclement, the cruise staff generally adds some onboard activities like movies and family games.

My fingers are crossed for you. Either way, Happy Sailing! :flower:

Hi there,
We did the Feb 3 wonder, it was very cool & windy. The captain cancelled all excursions that day due to high wind, and rough water. We did some shopping at the few shops, then had lunch at Cookies, walked along the beach looking for shells. We figured we'd head back to the ship since it was cool, and the kids went to the pool. They had added extra activities on the ship due to inclement weather, (they had slipped these sheets under our door early in the morning due to the cooler weather).

We also cruised in January and the weather was just right. It wasn't too warm, but not chilly either. Now on the other hand, the water was a little chilly at first. I think if I were there at a chilly time I would just try and find a chair in the sun and just lay back and relax.

We were there on this cruise and agree with everything you say however, I did get sun burn that day in the brief time the sun came out !!

On our last Wonder cruise, it was a bit chilly. My husband disembarked and went for a walk and bike ride, as well as to mail postcards. Since he is a hearty northerner, he said he probably could have swum if he'd worn his swim trunks. I stayed on board and spent the day in the Rainforest, and I definitely didn't feel like I was missing anything. I do love reading in a lounge chair on the beach, but reading in a heated tile lounger is a close second. :teeth:
