We stopped at
Lookout Cay on our Magic voyage. We sailed on August 26th and were at the island on the 27th. Our impression of the island is that it was beautiful. The beaches were nice, fine white sand. The water temperatures were quite comfortable. This was all at the adult portion of the island.
However, the long pier had a negative impact on our visit. My wife has had a knee replacement in the past year and while she is able to walk just fine, the long walk down the pier wasn't going to work for her. So, as advised beforehand, we stopped at guest relations to arrange for a golf cart ride. We were advised to meet in Key's when ready to head to the island the next day.
The next morning we looked out our balcony window to see the island....and he long pier. We decided we would wait until the first rush of people got off. About 10:50 am we went to Keys and checked in for the ride. They had us wait inside as they took people in order. Inside Keys there were at least 40 people waiting already. The process went very slowly It took us nearly an hour before we were called to go out to the pier. Even then, the CM waited for a bit before directing us to one of the waiting carts. Not sure what the delay was there.
