Castaway 5K still giving medals?

Yes. We walked most of the way, and picked up our medal long after most runners were finished with the race.

It's been almost 2 years, so I don't remember exactly where, except that it was easy to get them. I think we stopped at one of the shops by the finish line.

2 years ago, my 74 year old father wanted to absolutely do the 5K even if it meant walking. I walked with him and we later found our medals back in our stateroom

That guy deserved it. He did that twice during the run when I was on the path.
And did you see poor Cory running in his sandals down the loop to go take care of the water tower that fell over? He was sweating as bad as the rest of us.

I saw one of the runners read that jacks** the riot act, and get a picture of his nametag. I think someone might have gotten fired over that.

We must gave been on the loop at about the same time. I saw Cory cleaning up the water. Then later that night, he MC'd the Future Princess Parade. He looked very nice in his suit.

I don't have access to the exact data right now but it was about a mile-ish to the start. Then the 5k isn't quite a 5k. Then you walk wherever you walk.

For me I go back to the ship to clean up. Not everyone does that, and I didn't do that the first or...4th? time (that time we had a cabana).

I have walked back to the ship every time to clean up and get some breakfast. This is the first year DH did it with me and all he wanted was to go back to the boat and get a donut. One of the guys running (walking) near us wanted to go back and get bacon.

Just back and I happily finished in 57 minutes! I walked most of it with a very nice fellow from Canada. If no one is there for the medals you can pick them up at She Sells. Have a wonderful vacation everyone!

I am pretty sure we are going to book a last minute cruise to celebrate this operation. I find out tomorrow, and if there’s no complications, I just may try to walk the 5k in December.
