Several years ago I was staying at POFQ (when it was just PO). They were getting ready to change Illumination to one of the icky ones in between the Great Illuminations and the current one.
They decided to do a rehearsal at 6 A.M.!!!
I thought it was great and wish they'd do that more often! When I asked a CM at the front desk what was going on, he said it was my wake up call.
I got asked "When are you going to turn the rain off?" more than once. And of course, the "Do you work here?" question. Gee, was it the outrageous costume, headset and name tag that tipped you off?
My Dad has some really good ones, but my favorite is the day he went to work and was driving a bus from Epcot to the resorts. Now mind you he is wearing bright purple pants with white/yellow/purple shirt and a nametag. A guest walks up to the bus, steps in and asks, "Is this a Disney bus?"
Hey I heard the 3:00 parade one but it was a kid (about 10-12 yrs) and he was asking his mom. They were walking in front of us and the kid just kept saying "Mom...what time is the 3:00 parade?" over and over. The mom was distracted and I think a little aggrivated over something because finally she turned to him and said (in a not so nice voice) "Five O'Clock! What time did you think?" My dh and I burst out laughing.
Two guests are standing in Tomorrowland looking at a map and they are facing Space Mountain which they have looked at a few times. I come out from the CM area dressed in my Tomorrowland Indy Speedway costume, which has written on it TOMORROWLAND INDY SPEEDWAY.
They stop me and ask very innocently, "Excuse us, but where is Tomorrowland?"
I chuckle quietly, look down at my costume and then say, "you're standing in it."
Just a tad bit embarrassed they continue on and ask,"Where is Space Mountain?"
Very politely and turning to where I'm facing it right along with the guests I say, "You're staring at it."
Guests quietly say thank you, fold up map quickly and walk off. I just grin and head on to the Speedway.
