cast member discounts and fastpass

Hi,

I've just realized I have a cousin working at Disney World. I've heard cast members can get family member discounts on hotels. Does anyone know how this works? Does it affect your tickets or fastpass plus in any way? I am planning a 5-6 day trip for the end of October.

Your cousin could get you a 40% off discount. They have to show their ID on the day of check in or up to 10 days prior. I know that there is a limited amount of times a cast can get 40% off for people. They can also get you discounted DP if the discount is available. And 10% off tickets
