I am going to Disney soon and will be escorted in by a friend who works for Disney. We have done this before and have had no problems but this was before the days of Fast Pass.

Since the CM will not stay with us the whole time in the park-- and since we don't have "hard tickets" to get in-- are we not able to use Fast Pass??

Hope you can help clarify-- thanks in advance

When you are "signed in" at the turnstiles by your CM friend, you will be given hard tickets.

In addition to getting hard tickets after signing you in, you will also have your arm stamped so that you can hope to another park. They will check both at the other park.

I am under the impression by our "contact" that someone will "walk us in the park"-- before we actually had passes waiting for us at the "will call desk" so I didn't worry about the passes

but now it sounded like we would be "Walked in and let loose"

are you saying that we would be "walked in" and given an actual pass? is that how it works? we aren't just taken in and left??

Is what your CM friend doing permissible? Being driven around back and then being let in through a "cast members only" door is not.

Sanctioned visitors will probably be given some kind of pass which may possibly be a stick on name tag. Supposedly park security reserves the right to eject persons without tickets or other official ID or pass.

Incidentally most of the time there is a CM at each Fastpass distribution area who can manually operate the machines.

I have several friends who are event planners for Disney and Universal and they very often give us tickets and such. At Universal it is the same--- we get in and do what we want and are given passes.

I have never been "walked in" before--- at Disney so I was confused as to how this happens---- and if we would get a pass-- my connection told me we would get an arm stamp so I knew that I could go from park to park-- just wasn't sure about the physical hard ticket-- i am to call him tomorrow to check so i will elt you know what he says-- thanks

What they are doing is totally legal, they are not walking them in a back door. CM's are issued two different type of comp tickets, one is an actually ticket that you can hand to your guest and you would not need to be there with them, the other is a Main Gate pass which has to be present at the turnstiles by the CM with their guests present. Sounds like last time you used the actual comps and this time it is the main gate. As was stated with the Main Gate pass your CM friend will escort you to the park of your choice and you will all go through the turnstiles together. Once in the park the turnstile CM will issue you an actual ticket (which is good for park hopping) and they will stamp the inside of your arm (in order to hop parks you need your tickets, the inside of the arm stamp AND the top of the hand exit stamp that you get when leaving any of the parks. The tickets that you are issued once inside will work just like any other ticket in the fastpass machines.

You have read my mind LibertyBelle-- that is exactly what happened last time ( when we DID get the first type of tickets) I will talk to my CM friend tomorrow and will get the details from him. But thanks for calming my fears--- we would never go in a back door period--- we are Florida residents and would pay that price if we had to---
