Cashing Travelers Checks?

I can't remember reading this any place so I thought I'd post to all the wise DIS board folks...I know I will get an answer.

Will Guest Services cash travelers checks for you? I assume that they will the same as when you stay at WDW in the resorts.

I'm getting into the 30 day crunch time and getting a little frazzled. Thanks!

Yes...I think they will. However, don't get those travelers credit cards. I was talking a fellow cruiser who was advised to get that and ended up that disney cruise would not accept it. They put 2000.00 on the card too!

They said that they go through satelite for credit card approvals and those traveler credit cards has to be through a phone line so there was no way to tell how much was on the card. I thought it was strange.

Just got back from our cruise a month ago, and yes, Guest Services will cash in Traveler's Checks for you. They also will cash a personal check for each adult passenger, in the amount of $100 (each), as long as the check has your info printed right on it (no starter checks). DH and I each tucked a blank check into the backs of our wallets for emergency cash, and fortunately didn't have to cash them. But it was good to know that we could, if we had to.
