Is there a list anywhere that mentions what things in the park may be cash only? I came across a blog about balloons being cash only, but was written in 2013. We were planning on giving kids each a gift card and using our cards, but would like to plan on how much actual Chas we should have for cash only items.

I feel like most things take cards now... the roving snack carts didn’t use to... not sure if that has changed. We usually get by with a couple bucks a day for mousekeeping, uber/taxi driver tips, and coins for pressed pennies.

Balloons are still cash only. But we were able to pay with a card at all the little carts with Churros, Coffee, etc.

Have fun planning!

would suggest bring cash just in case though. they are wifi dependent... and ya know, Wifi and Disney... :P

Only thing you need cash for in park is the mobile roaming vendors. Almost all the snack carts and other places now take CC and Gift Cards.

As mentioned, the balloon sellers are still cash only. Some/most of the pressed coin machines are also cash only, as are some of the roaming snack vendors (like the ones in the queues during the really busy times and inside the Hyperion Theater).

As others have mentioned, I would bring some cash with you. You never know when the system will go down and something will be cash only (unexpectedly).
