Cash stays through member services?

Are we able to book strictly cash stays through member services at Disneyland properties in California? I thought I had read we could get a discount on cash stays as DVC members, but the person I spoke with at member services said that was not true. Curious about the experience of others. Thank you!

We can get a discount on DVC villas via MS if they are available. They are not always.

For DL, it would only apply to VGC or VDH…we don’t get a discount off Disney hotels.

Thank you, I saw there where some rooms available for cash on the Disneyland website but MS wasn't able to see the same rooms for cash. I wonder if they have different availability than the public. I'll give 'em a call again tomorrow.

The rooms we can get for cash via MS are not the ones on the website. Complete Different inventory.

As I said, there are not always room avialbe for cash via MS , even when you can see them in the Disney site

I booked a cash room the other day….

saved about 1000 dollars on airfare by staying an extra day….

ccv studio was 400 dollars

member service have a few options

I thought this was the best value

You can book a DVC room for cash through member services at a 25% discount, subject to availability, and as noted that is not always available, e.g., even if rooms are shown as available on the DVC site, that does not mean it is necessarily available for that discounted cash reservation, and in the past I have seen times when rooms were not available with the cash discount before 7-months out, despite being available for a points reservation. That 25% discount applies to the non-discounted price that Disney is using for cash reservations in DVC rooms. If Disney is actually providing its own discount to the public for such rooms, you do not get 25% off that already discounted price.

Available to all owners. But would be something that could be changed in the future to apply only to those eligible for membership extras.
