Cash Ressies for DVC

I need to make a reservation for the in-laws who have decided at the last min. to join us. My family has already secured a 1-BR and will be leaving in 7 weeks. I have called MS, but there is no room available at BWV for the in-laws. We would like them there as we plan on using their babysitting skills I did call CRO and they said there was plenty of rooms left. My question is, do DVC get a discount on room rates using a cash ressie? The CM at CRO said that she was not aware of any.

The DVC discount is only on rooms reserved through MS- CRO can't offer a DVC discount.

You might call MS again and let them know CRO has availability and see if they can try again for you. The member discount is not available very often, so don't be surprised if you are unable to find one. The rooms available thru CRO are from points turned in by members for non-DVC reservations- so DVC doesn't have the use of those rooms any more.

Also wait until closer to your trip to see if any discounts are offered either through MS or CRO. From what I've heard, there are only specials through CRO up to 2/13 right now but it may be extended if they have alot of empty rooms. Travelocity had 40% off rooms at BWV for the first week of December in November last year.
