Cash ressie...payment method ??

Just curious as I will be calling MS in a few days. I will be looking for a points-cash ressie. Wondering if I will be required to pay by credit card for the cash portion in full at the time of the ressie or can I put down a delposit and send the rest in as a check. Just wondering since I haven't done this before and want to be prepared.

I booked a DVC cash room earlier this month, they just take your credit card # as a guarantee. They don't charge it until you check in. If you cancel 5 days or less, they charge 1 night.

You will have to occupy the room. But at the busy time you appear to be going, a cash discount may not be available.
