Cash price for THV

Has anyone booked any nights using cash yet for the THV. I am planning on trying to snag one for July 2010, however I am one nights points short for a Sunday through Friday stay. I am not sure if I will go with this option or trying to get points transferred. I can't borrow as I am in point debt so that option is out.

Only if one is available on cash instead of points. I'd bet it would be easier now than later as SSR gets closer to being sold out again. Once it is sold out, then DRC won't get as many cash reservations for THV.

If I call at the 11 month mark and book Sunday through Wednesday on points do they normally let you book the last night cash right then through MS? I haven't had to pay cash for a DVC room since 2003.

They might. You just have to ask.

or just add on a few more points since it sounds like you're continually short a few.

We have one booked for Dec 5-12 which is value season for $545. We received 20% off because we are AAA members so the final with tax is $490.

the pops - I would love to add more points on and plan to sometime in the future, however my DH left his corporate career this last year and started his own photography business so until we get comfortable with all of this I have to be good. See even though I am an accountant I am the spender in the family and my DH is the one who keeps me on the ground.
