Cash at Christmas

We were looking to spend a family Christmas (Dec 27 - Jan 1) at HH, booking the rooms using the cash rate discount. We were going to need 3 2 bedroom units for everyone to attend. When we first started talking about it no more than 1 week ago there was availability. So we shared our idea with the family and within one week everyone got back to us saying they were interested. So this week I called the DVC office and the rooms we needed were not available. Now everyone is eager to go and we have no lodging. What should we do?

I would think that you would need to plan further in advance to get three 2 bedroom units. I am not sure how busy HH is at Christmas but if you are just now looking you are probably too far past the 7 month booking window for those rooms. Did you ask about 1 bedrooms and Grand Villas? You may wind up having to book a couple of one bedrooms and or studios. Next year make your reservations in late May or early June. Good Luck.
