Cash a Check onboard?

If you start to run low on hard cash, is there a place to cash a check onboard?

Do you pay for shore excursions on the boat, and charge it to your room, or do you pay the company directly, if booked with DCL?

I'm not sure about getting checks cashed, but I do know that your shore excursions that you book through DCL are charged to your shipboard account (You get the bill at the end of the cruise)

$100/adult/cruise will be cashed at guest services

We cashed travellers cheques on board so that we had money for Nassau for shopping etc.

No limit to cashing traveller's checks. $100 per person limit on cashing personal checks.
