Casey's Is Ruined For Me!

So here is yet another tradition ruined! We just got back from an amazing trip except for a few little things. Casey's was one of our sentimental traditions as soon as we arrive in the Magic Kingdom. Not anymore! We got our hotdog and opened the wrapper to find a dry roll that was actually in two pieces! The rolls they use now are absolutely disgusting! In addition, we ate a pizza in Blizzard Beach and the crust was also digusting. Why would I want to eat a pizza with brown dough which actually had caraway seeds in it! How ridiculous and unnecessary! The hamburgers, hotdogs and pizza are ruined! What is the point of all of this anyway! Of course, my opinion, but I a heard a lot of other complaints from people regarding the same think while we were there. Why cant they just leave well enough alone!

It's food oxymorons. Hot dogs and pizza on whole grain breads. Disney is looking out for you. I hope so many people complain that they come to their senses and knock off this nonsense. If someone wants to eat healthy on vacation, there are plenty of options at the restaurants: salads, fresh fruit, grilled fish and chicken, etc. There needs to be a balance for those who understand moderation and want to enjoy a regular hot dog on a regular white bun at Disney.

I agree, they should have left well enough alone. If I want wheat I can order it that way. If they want to offer wheat, make it a choice. But if you want a regular bun you should be able to order it that way.

It's just not at Casey's. It's all over the place. Cheeseburgers at the resort food courts. I've complained and, well, it's not a place for public view. More for Private view.

I really hate the fact that Disney is trying to watch out for our health

But seriously, receiving a whole wheat bun that is crumbling and and falling a part is unacceptable, especially for the prices that Disney charges customers to eat at on-site restaurants. If I wanted to eat healthy on vacation, I would choose one of the many available healthier options that are offered at almost all Disney restaurants.

I think that there should be a choice, but I honestly can't see anybody enjoying a whole wheat bun with a greasy burger.

That is a big reason why DH and I do big breakfasts and big dinners, both TS...the quality of alot of CS places stinks...with the exception of Epcot..there are a ton of great CS places there and the food courts at the value and mod resorts...very good food there.

We ate at Casey's in Jan. and the rolls were the same squishy white ones we know and love....

Maybe this is only a temporary thing.... (I hope)

ITA!!!!! This food-police is going WAAAAY too far. There's nothing wrong with offering healthier choices for those who want them, but don't force them on everybody.

And someone please please please tell me that you can still get cheese sauce for your fries at Casey's....

...or there's going to be a mutiny and it ain't gonna be pretty!

Yea! They did away with my Twinkie Tiramusu at Pop !! I was not happy but they still serve cheese fries ! Go figure!!

The buns at caseys are still soft, still squishy, with itty bitty flecks of acutal whole wheat. If it's more than 10% whole wheat, I'll eat my mouse ears (which happen to be a fantasic source of fiber.)

They are different, but not end-of-the-world, walt-turning-in-his-cryogenic-chamber, mobilize-the-board-of-directors different.

The buns and crust are now multi grain. They don't have much actual whole wheat in them but they do have sunflower seeds, caraway seeds, rye flakes, and other assorted grain bits that my kids thought were little rocks in the pizza crust It was really awful for me because these are all not safe for nut free people because of cross contam issues. I could see doing a white whole wheat that looks and tastes the same (I buy really yummy pepperidege farm white whole wheat stuff) but is a bit healthier but this stuff apparaently tastes horrible and isn't actually much healthier than the old stuff based on the label reading I did for allergies. It's not just CS either the big pizzas at the resorts and the buffet pizza crusts are this same stuff. All the CMs begged me to write and complain.....

What about the people who have allergies to seeds, nuts, etc?? No more Casey's for them and no more pizza or burgers at WDW?? I do not get it, it is a potential legal case for sure. I hope they have posted at all the restaurants for those who have allergies to these type of things that the bread now contains what may cause you to have an attack.

I'm with you Mackey. I would really hate to be stabbing my friend with and epi-pen on my Disney Vacation, because of her nut allergy when she ordered pizza. Whole weat, whole grain, whatever, that isn't what pizza crust dough is made of. It's not really pizza if you don't use plain bleach white flour dough.

I'm an American and I have the right to eat nothing but junk my whole life if I so choose. If I don't want to take care of my self, I'm not going to, and no amount of health nazi's or taking away my non-healthy options is going to make a difference. It's time people learned that you can't protect a person from themselves.

WHAT??? I love Caseys Corner hotdogs but I would not like it on a wheat bun!!! I eat healthy all year long when I go to Disney I want to eat my Junk and enjoy it!!!!! Please tell me they havent changed my chocolate chip cookie icecream sandwich on mainstreet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure about Casey's, but they had wheat or multigrain buns everywhere we went in November..
