I saw this picture one day while we were eating at Casey's Corner and wondered if it looked odd to anyone else. It is obviously a staged pic and isn't really from 1914, but I'm just wondering if the people in the picture are important to MK or Casey's Corner at all. There are a few people wearing mustaches that look clearly like women so that is what got my curiosity going.

My guess would be that they are Imagineers who were part of the Main Street team when the park was being designed.

Huh, good eye DisneyDayTripper! I bet it is something like the PP said, but I hope someone can chime in with the true story behind this pic!

I did a little "corrective adjustment" on your pic
to make it a bit easier to see.

I am not sure of the story behind the pictures, but I know the picture is a topic in one of the trivia/scavenger hunt books that I read. On our last trip I had my 20yo DD looking for the picture on Main Street that included women with mustaches! She never did find it :confused3, but I did and took a picture of it to prove to her it was there!

Looks like the bleachers used in the photo are from the softball field at Winter Garden Vineland Road and Vista Blvd. I pass this area going to and from work and it popped into my head that this is where the photo could have been possibly been taken.

The Braves uniform is also too new. It looks fromt he late 90's to today......

I will have to show my husband this.

It is in the room with the TV and bleachers on one of the walls in there...I love old baseball pictures and I was looking at the picture and was like ummmm something isn't right here lol

The hair styles you can see from under the hats doesn't seem to fit the time period that the park was being built.Looks like a later date than that.I will have to look at this next visit.

I also looked into it because the Braves use to play in Milwaukee, but in researching it I discovered that before they were in Milwaukee the Braves use to be in Boston and were named the Braves in 1912 they played in Boston from 1912-1953 and then moved to Milwaukee for season 1953-1965 and then moved to Atlanta where they are now.....

Here is a picture of the 1914 Boston Braves...which clearly shows the jersey is MUCH MUCH newer in the picture....

I also find it very interesting that EVERY player in the "fake 1915" picture has a mustache, but in the actual picture of the 1914 Boston Braves not one single person has a mustache lol

Cool picture. I'm going to have to check it out next time we go!

That is very interesting. Did they do it on purpose? Or is it a coincidence? :scratchin
