Any one know when the refurbs will be done on these. I know they are soso but DD loves them both

November 20th is right in time for the start of the holiday season at DLR...which makes me think Storybook Land is getting a cute little holiday makeover this year (like maybe a little more extensive than last year), as well as some new additions to the 'neighborhood.' I wonder which houses they could add in to be permanent fixtures in the ride. They have to be doing something substantial because the refurb is lasting 3 months!!

It wasn't an 'official' holiday overlay. Apparently, for the last couple of years (and I didn't find out about it until 2008), there have been little Christmas decorations on the tiny houses and in the villages on the Storybook Land ride, but DLR never advertises the ride as having a holiday overlay, though I think it is a good length of a ride to have one, and I think the idea of teeny Christmas decorations and lights and trees is adorable! So based on the convenient timing of the reopening of the ride this year, after the long 3-month overlay, I am assuming they have to be adding in some new permanent additions to the ride as well as some cute holiday stuff (I hope). I think DLR should advertise it when they start promoting their holiday festivities. They wouldn't have to necessarily call it an overlay, but they could find a way to word it to let people know that there are little extra holiday things to see on the ride, because otherwise, I suspect a lot of folks don't think to go on the Storybook Land boats and they miss the cute holiday touches.
