I know A community I entered documented plate numbers. I have no idea of all communities with a guard do this nor how long records are maintained.

So the records may not be available.:confused3

I have never been to a guarded community in FL where they don't log you in. Now, I don't know how long they keep those records so maybe that is part of the issue. I have also never been to a guarded community here that doesn't record everyone coming and going.

Regardless, they both agree that he went to her place. He says he did. She says he did. No arguing there.

The discrepency lies in whether they were intimate. Who is lying about intimacy? He says they weren't. She says they were.

No matter how many times he went to her place (12 or 120), that's not the issue. The issue is intimacy.

Excellent points!

The only thing I could see, if available, the records could back up what she says and serve to impeach him even further.

But you are right--the relationship and the statement about accident were the bigger issues.

It does factor into my decision. If I saw proof that George only went there two or three times, I would be more likely to believe his version. If I found out that it was a dozen times, I would think The River Queen was more reliable.

I don't think the sex has a thing to do with the story but it would help me decide who was lying LESS.

Great way to put it... my thoughts exactly!

Hey...no fair voting that Casey won't testify AFTER it was announced.

I got a late start and have finally caught up to the present. Wow, not the huge ending I thought would come from the defense. More like a whimper.

I think I'm spoiled from Disney...there is always fireworks during the finale!

Exactly.

I think that is why judge warned that it is possible that hER testimony may be stricken.

If you plead the fifth what do you have to hide? Might as well get humble now and get it over with. Is it going to be embarassing? Yep. Perjur yourself probably. If the whole testimony gets wiped out the jury knows she lies. If she is held accountable the jury knows she is lying. So either way they know she is lying. I am wondering if she is trying to figure out she is going to explain what she did. I can only imagine what the house is like in the evening. I am having so much trouble reading George's note. If George had been then there more than one time Baez would have gotten every piece of evidence to that. I think the jury sees that he almost has a personal vindetta against George. I dont recall ever seeing an attorney go after someone like that before. I hope that the jury takes that into account. I sense there were times that Baez wanted to call George a murderer.

Chatty today. Almost ready for thread #5...

Kurby, LOVE the pics!! Looks like things are going along pretty well. Girls are beautiful. I know you want Nicole home soon and it looks like that time is coming soon!

I got to see some of the testimony today in between working. I want Cindy to pay for lying. I think the suicide note was another nail in the defense.

I believe GA. I don't care if he slept with that woman or not. Makes no difference to me. I think he might have said something like "I think Casey had something to do with it".

i think the entire family are a bunch of liars and they all should be held in contempt of court or perjury or something

George and Cindy raised their children to lie, they live a their life in a lie their entire relationships are based on lies.

it doesn't matter if george had an affair - that's between him and cindy. and just because he slept with some hanger on chick doesn't mean that he helped cover up or had anything to do with caylee's death.

if i was on the jury i could totally discount anything he said about the affair but still believe other parts of his testimony.

everyone lies - it's human nature - doesn't mean they lie about 100% of everything.

even kc prob told the truth about something but no one believes her about anything because you just can't figure out was was the truth even if it was 1 thing

They are liars to the last one! I can not imagine living life without TRUST in my relationships.

JBP says it best : The An-Phoneys

Even NG, who is not pro Totmom, can't believe HoseA laid out the basis of the burial as his last act!

Seriously! I think I 'know' what Jose was trying to do. He was (IMHO) trying to show that GEORGE always wrapped pets in plastic and used duct tape to seal them, and therefore it must have been GEORGE who wrapped little Caylee up.
Might be a "bit" more believable IF she had been buried and not just thrown out like trash.

:rotfl2: :thumbsup2

My DH cracked up when I told him this trial had Judge Perry and Chaney Mason involved. What are the odds?

That is funny!

I in no way condone the fact that Cindy Anthony got up on the stand and lied, and I have no doubt that this kind of behavior made Casey the way she is, but let me just say that I would not want to walk in her shoes for one second. I mean can you just imagine the hell she is going through? As if it wasn't enouh to lose her granddaughter (which is a fact that cannot be changed) but now her daughter is on trial for the first degree murder of her granddaughter. She has to be terribly conflicted. Being a mother myself I know the kind of love a mother has for her child. There is no greater bond than that of a mother and a child (apparently, Casey is too coldhearted to have that bond with Caylee) and our first instinct is to protect our children under any circumstances, and if she thought she could help her daughter in any way, she would do it. I guess my question is how far would any of us go if we were in the same situation?

I can 100 % say for sure that I would not lie in court for any of my children...no matter what. I would not be able to live with myself if I did. Heck I couldn't even lie in front of lawyers to get out of jury duty like everyone told me to do.

BUT, if my daughter was convicted I would beg, cry, do whatever I could during the penalty portion of the trial if death was on the table..I'd even offer up my own life in place of hers..because that would not be a lie. I would give my life for my child.

I totally agree....I think that is opening up a big can of worms that doesn't need to be opened. Unless the PT had another can and smelled it, I wouldn't want to ruin a slam dunk case. If it doesn't smell bad ICA would probably do a dance right there at the DT table.

I think she can continue to say she lied on her timecard. That doesn't look good either or lend to her credibility on this search thing.

Ewwwww, I hope they do not sniff the cans!! If the can don't stink, she's outta the clink!

I was trying to think of something clever to say and you nailed it!

She cries when Hogwarts lady talks about grief, but no emotion whatsoever when reading about her dad's anguish.

Hogwarts ....LOL. Of course she cried then, that was all about her...this letter is about George, why would she cry over his sadness??? ;)

Kid should've pulled a Casey bird flipping move ... you know, wipe away a fake tear with your middle finger.

You're not giving this kid any credit! He's probably not as stupid as you think. I'm betting that this is another crazy looking for his 15 minutes of fame and some monetary benefits from this case. He'll be all over Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, etc. giving his "inside story" on why he did it, etc. and he'll be getting paid well for that, too.

ETA -- based on that video, he was totally doing it to get it on tv and not giving it to Ashton. He looks directly into the camera as he does it. Kid was well aware he was on tv and tried to pull this off. Granted, wrong thing to do, but the kid thought he could pull it off and be a "hero" to his buddies.

Yeah, I agree...stupid, but totally planned. I'm guessing a bet with friends made while they were drinking and he felt he had to carry it off.

I know George mentioned blood pressure meds, but I think he mentioned something about different medication as well, maybe for anxiety/depression? I can't remember.

My heart breaks for George when I read that. When he wrote about wanting to hold Caylee's hand again, I can understand. I would give anything to be able to hold my Moms hand again :sad1:.

I don't even know the man and that made me sad (yet his daughter didn't give a crap).

Hey...no fair voting that Casey won't testify AFTER it was announced.

LOL. I didn't vote because you didn't have an "other" and since on every poll posted here on the Dis someone says that...well, I figured I'd do it here.

My DH, who is not into watching the trial, just brought up a good point. Maybe George is hesitant to talk about the affair because it could be used against him in a divorce. Maybe that is why he is so evasive in past questioning. He is afraid that if he admits to an affair, then Cindy will be able to use that against him in divorce proceedings.:confused3 IDK, but I guess that makes sense.

Of course, he was trying to connect George. But, somehow it just did not point at him. George was never connected to Caylee's disappearance. There was not much evidence of an accident. Let's face it, Caylee's body was in KCs car. That does not connect her death to George very well. So with all the evidence against KC, this final review of the pet's funeral services points to KC.

Plus, KC is a sociopath. Someone on the THs just mentioned how the disconnected sociopath is likely to view a young child as a pet. Yes, they would!

If I was sitting on the jury right now I'd be thinking "hey, where's the proof of abuse? Where is the proof of drowning, where is the proof that George helped her get rid of the body?" Defense tried to throw up smoke screens but they never ever said anything to support their opening statement.

Speaking of records, has anyone checked HoseA's school records? Did he really go to law school?

THe defense rested WITHOUT supporting any of the opening statement....
I know they do not have to PROVE innocence, only introduce some doubt... and maybe they thought they did. I dunno? We have had access to soooo much more than the jury has.
