Casey Anthony Trial Thread #3

I was just wondering this very same thing today. I wondered how they could spend the entire day, for weeks at a time, in the courthouse. Don't they have jobs.

No, Lee doesn't work, George doesn't work and apparently Cindy is on some kind of disability and has never gone back to work after she found out Caylee was missing... It is SHOCKING. How do none of hem work?[/QUOTE]

I imagine it is the publicity that is lucrative. They are making money somewhere and it is most likely off Caylee.

I am more and more convinced that Lee was supposed to spill it today and could not, would not. At least twice Baez asked him if there was more he was upset about. And you could feel Lee thinking so hard about if he was going to say it or not. Baez was expecting him to say it. B/c otherwise he didn't really have anything to contribute IMO, to further the defense case.

OK - this is for whoever wins the date with Baez!

If you don't want the date, I'll take it. If you want the date, do you mind a third wheel?

I ONLY want the date so I can ask him how he could be such a bozo time and time again in that courtroom! I want him to justify himself. And, I want to push him to the point where he'll have to break client-attorney priveledge and give me the entire scoop if he wants any mercy!!!

All 3 of them? OMG, I'd at least think George or Lee could work.... that is unbelievable :sad2:
That's just my guess!
My mother is no where near here (thank goodness!)

They are her favorite jammies and won't let me take them out of her drawer.

It is cotton fabric, not stiff - very soft! It has always been in our home. The top is a little short, but none of it is tight.

When she came downstairs in them I just knew I had to share! ;)

Okay, sounds like the lesser charges thing was just a formality. I've been so busy today I've only been skimming - usually I read every little thing. Today was impossible.
What could possible be more important than keeping up with this thread? Obviously, your DD can dress herself. She can't cook yet? You're obviously a helicopter parent. Sheesh. ;)

I remember when my kids hated to part with a favorite item of clothing...long sleeves up to the elbows, pants above the ankles. LOL

Interesting idea. Did Lee flop in his performance? Was he supposed to reveal "the crazy" in the household? Does Evill Cindy have so much power over him that he would allow KC to go down to save himself from CAs wrath? Just like KC hid the accident?

I think I am doing better at this than Baez. Maybe he will call me!

Yeah, me too. I have a feeling we're going to see him on the stand again. I hope they give us warning so I can take a pill or something. That was stressful today.

Even today with this conversation of clothing my DD remembers a red velvet dress she had when she was 3 or 4, she wore that dress until she was about 7, she wouldn't give it up, no way, no how... that's the dress she remembers. there were clothes she had at 18 months that by the age of 3 she would not give up... pants or leggings up the leg and sleeves that didn't even come close to where they should have been. Every parent knows this happens, particularly if they have a girl!!!

I am guessing that they are all on disability due to stress of all of this. I just wonder if they will go back to work once this is all over and things calm back down. It REALLY makes me mad when people take advantage of the system, you know!? Then again they may be stuck because who would want to employee liars? Oh, and people who falsify time cards.;)

Cindy said she was on permanent disability. She also admitted to selling photos of Caylee to the tabloids. There are many reports where it's been in the 6 figures, but she only talked about one instance where she sold photos to a magazine for 20,000.

A sloppy duct tape job?! On an old gas can? I really can't imagine what a craftily engineered duct tape repair would look like! Is George a bit OCD?

Did KC repair that can as she placed it in a trunk? Perhaps that is where it went.

My anal DH would spend need a tape measure and a good hour to place a piece of duct tape on something. But it would look damn good when it was done! :rotfl:

I could go both ways on this. Part of me agrees with you. What was the whole point of bringing Lee up there? On the other hand, isn't that what we ask daily about the people Baez puts on the stand? What the heck was the point of that person?

We're auctioning off a date with Baez?? :scared1: :rotfl2: I missed this one. I am trying to read all these posts plus pretend like I am paying attention to my neglected family at the same time. They will be so happy when this trial is over! I want a chance to go out with Baez. I have a lot of great questions and when he doesn't answer them, I will just ask them over and over and over again. He should be used to that.

How cute!

the whole family are a mess. They never held casey accountable of her actions, always lying and excusing her, just like when Cindy change her theory of the dead body in the trunk of the car to the bag of pizza, she knew it wasn't trash but she had to cover up of her manipulating sociopath daughter. She is the way she is because she was allow to be that way. Sick!!

Sort of related--we have a few Hanna Andersson pieces. They are mad VERY roomy, but not illl fitting. I don't know how they do it. My kids can wear these things for 2-3 years straight even though we originally bought them at their correct size then. They even some what advertise this "feature".

I am positive that other labels kind of do the same thing. Kids grow! My kids do, but they seem to be able to wear this or that size for a long time before giving it up. Heck, adjustable waist bands has extended the life of some things. I can buy them roomy, but not too big, cinch the waist and expand t as needed. I can get 2-3 years easily in other brands.

This whole size issue is a meaningless red herring. One parent involved with outfitting their own kid sitting on that jury, the whole shorts thing is easily tossed out. Besides--was George just hiding a pair of shorts in the off chance that his granddaughter died an accidental death and needed to cover it up?:confused3

It appears that Casey technically got that money ($200,000?) to pay for her defense...that's why the IRS is after her for $70,000.

I think he and I would get along great. (Have you seen the FIRST POST?)

You have to bring Judge Perry to referee and say "Mmmissstterrr Baaaiiezzzzz...answer.the.question."

I did read something about Beaz being miffed, and wondered why cuz he had Cindy lying on the stand for him. But maybe this is why - because Lee chickened out.

Actual work today at work - I know, some nerve! :snooty: My kids feed themselves and even do laundry. I've got my priorities straight. ;)

Sweet! :lovestruc It's funny when they insist things fit when they obviously don't. Gotta break out the Mommy Look.

I'm not a complete meanie - I'm keeping things as long as we have room for them. But they can't wear them out of the house. ;)

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about. What is this FIRST POST that you are referring too? I don't believe you have ever mentioned it before. Is there some sort of a link? I feel like I am being left out of the loop. Next thing you know, you are going to have a baby shower and not even invite me. Heck, you probably won't even tell me about the pregnancy. Whoa is me.

;) :rotfl2:

The defense is constantly insinuating it. They even brought in someone just to say they saw George use *HIS* duct tape to hang signs. And we can't forget that he used the duct tape on the gas can. Casey didn't have any problem stealing her parents money but they act like she would never touch her dad's precious duct tape. I find the commentators I listen to just glaze over that part.

 You are so right! I get so mad when the pundits say that, too. It's a roll of tape!! We have some in our storage room and *gasp* I have even used it a few times, even though it is technically my husband's.

OK so LP (yeah... I know...) said on JVM that the Anthony's are all getting up there and taking the sword for Casey because they feel that this WAS an accident. They feel that she didn't mean to kill her, but the chloroform did it. The duct tape was used to make it look like a kidnapping. So they are angry that the state is going with the duct tape as the weapon so now they feel justified coming in and saving Casey since they think this was an accident and not on purpose.

Also he says defense is going to call George and he is going to again deny it but do it in a way that makes the jury think he is lying...
so it is really a win for the defense and George taking the sword for Casey.

I didn't see JVM tonight (of course I do have it on DVR ) so I missed all of that. But I am not surprised at what LP said regarding George's denial - I kind of thought he might be doing that very thing on his direct testimony by the prosecution. He denied it, but it wasn't exactly a firm denial. So either he did molest Casey, or he was purposely leaving doubt in the jurors' minds as to whether he did.

Hey, knock it off! Cindy's boss was the one falsified her time card. Cindy was at home trolling the internet for chloroform and chlorofil. Cindy was also very busy NOT telling Lee anything about his sister's the pregnancy and NOT inviting him or any men to the baby shower! :rotfl:
