Casey Anthony Trial Thread #3

I find it very disturbing that so many people would lie about a possible MURDER to protect their child. Flip that scenario.....Imagine your child has been killed, very likely intentionally, and the defendant's parents lie to police, during depositions and during the trial all in the name of protecting their precious child......the very one who killed yours.

Puts a different spin on it, doesn't it?

All I know is, if I knew deep down that my child had killed my grandchild, probably intentionally, there is no way on earth I would save their rear.

I love my kids more than anything but I would not get on the stand and lie for them for this or anything else. I would beg to spare his/her life, but no, I would not lie for them. I would hate for someone to lie to get someone off from these charges and it was someone that I know who was killed. That would be the worst.

What do you think the screen says? Maybe something like:

Well it's about time you helped me (me me me).
Be out soon, maybe we can take a computer class together.

I am begging for help. My DVR is acting up and I cannot depend on it tomorrow. DH is having surgery. It's nothing life threatening, but I don't think I will get home untl court is almost over. Could someone post a play by play? Just a summary is fine. I don't need to know every word....but if someone has another "maybe a dog buried it" moment, please don't leave that out. :rotfl2:

Maybe you could put a heading (7/24 play by play) and just keep adding to it by editing???? Whatever works.

Thanks to anyone who can help! :thumbsup2

I would not lie on a witness stand for anyone. If it was a family member I would state my wanting life in prison over death penalty..but I would never lie.

Yup. :sad2:

OK...now I'm getting paranoid about searches. LOL DS (18) got a nosebleed in his car (or so he says...hhhmmmm...he gets them with his allergies) which got on his shirt, and he grabbed the WHITE towel he had in the car (he took one of my WHITE towels to the beach when we have a stack of beach towels???) which got covered in blood. Got the spots out of his white shirt with Carbona for blood, but need to google how to get large quantities out of the towel. :sad2:

Ode to Seinfeld...If you have bloodstains on your clothes, maybe laundry isn't your biggest problem. :goodvibes

He does not look happy does he?

Maybe he is showing her all the fallout from her testimony today..hey maybe it is this thread and he is showing her how everyone is calling her a liar.

Sure does. I think some people (like Joy Behar and Barbara Walters) make statements like that to PROVE how much THEY love their children. I would hope most people would be honest.

If you go to THE FIRST POST (at the risk of sounding like a broken record...oops! too late!) there's a link to get email updates from I think wftv. The email update will have a link to the highlight of the day, a brief summary of the whole day, and from there a link to a more detailed summary.

I get:

If you do "how to make" on Yahoo, the first hit is how to make chloroform.

Watched NG tonight and I, too, was surprised at how mellow she was, but that didn't surprise me nearly as much as her stating that, as a prosecutor, she WOULD NOT go after Cindy for perjury. She and her cohorts were of the mind that it would be a mistake to do that, that Cindy comes off as a sympathetic care-giver and the jury will realize that it is what it is; a mother lying to save her daughter from a date w/the needle or chair or whatever means FL uses.

I think Yahoo Search choices are based on popularity, and with everyone on here trying to find out how to make chloroform, it's no wonder. :)

Dang, what a day! I was feeling really sorry for Cindy and George up to today, but no so much anymore.

Cindy was so obviously lying that it was pathetic. I only caught about 3 minutes uninterrupted of her on the stand, and in that time I saw her do something that is indicative of someone lying, and she did it twice. (I've taken some classes in reading body language, but I am in no ways an expert.) She touched her nose twice while she was talking about the internet searches. This is a common signal from a person who isn't telling the truth. When someone lies, the blood vessels in their nose dilate, which causes the nose to swell. Then the cells release histimine which makes the nose itch, so that's why liars go for nose when they're lying.

I hope the jury doesn't buy into that story. I understand that one of the jurors is an IT person, so hopefully he'll be able to talk some sense to the rest of the jury about the holes in Cindy's story.

Does anyone know if Jeff Ashton is married? I'm having little crush on him - I love a smart guy! :lovestruc

I'm pretty sure Florida uses lethal injection.

If you do "how to make" on Yahoo, the first hit is how to make chloroform.

I know in 2011 that is the first hit, but was Yahoo search like that in 2008? Many search engines have updated how they suggest things to help users. Also the search engines usually suggest things based on popularity. I would think many people across the United States, heck all over the world have typed in "how to make chloroform" just to see what pops up since this trial started.

My opinion, there is no way Cindy was searching chloroform, this is an attempt to cause "reasonable doubt".

maybe cindy didn't know casey was home when she typed in a search for choloraform, got up, went to go pee and casey took that moment to go to myspace then left before cindy came back.

In the space of 20 seconds!? Sorry, but Casey would have to be on top of that computer.

I'm really surprised with the involvement of CA and GA in Caylee's life and how overprotective they seem that they weren't over involved when it came to the "nanny". My parents who were I would call now semi-overprotective, when I moved back in with them when I was 27 w/ 2 children impeding a 2yr long divorce, after they realized I was dating someone they not only did a background check on my now husband, but went to the location of his house and wanted to see for themselves where they're grandchildren were spending their time.

I havent watched all the testimony of today but will, I'm shocked of what came about Cindy's testimony. I'm hoping the State will call her back after not feeling side-swiped and drill her on not only her work hours, but myspace hits and photo bucket hits since she already testified that ICA is the one that downloaded the pics to photobucket!!!!!!!!!

Maybe someone should send the State a "fashion" email to the DISboards to give them some heads up on ideas :rotfl:
