CA's thought to self....I haven't cried in 4 days let me see if I can push a tear out.

It should be a child's skull not an adult.

How was the skull not opened? There no tissue holding it together?

taking the top of the skull off

he showed how they do it - they cut around the forehead and around then lift the top off to get access to the brain

More wiping of non existent tears...

What's he saying about handling things without gloves etc??

i wouldn't go that far.

even someone as cold as casey can show a tiny emotion once and a while.

i'll give her this one - caylees skull is sitting there in the open (i think at least - isn't that why it's blacked out?)

Her skull isn't there. Maybe a picture, but not the skull itself.

oh ok - thank god.

i know they are blocking something out but i couldn't tell what or hear what it was

It's a photo of the inside of Caylee's skull that's being shown.

ETA - did Dr. Spitz just say the duct tape was on the skull loosely? Is that just based on tape to skull "measurement"? If so, whow would the tape have fit when there was flesh, muscle, and other tissue on the face? Far more tightly, I'd have to imagine??

ETA - Dr. Spitz says decomposition is less in areas where there is pressure (tape). He thinks the duct tape was a later event, not an earlier event but after decomposition. So, if that's so, then duct tape does not equal murder weapon ... however, could it have been put on her mouth to prevent fluids leaking out? That would be the only reason for there to be duct tape on her mouth.

The skull of Caylee is a photo.

Thanks for the clarification about the top of the skull being removed, I was filling up my coffee cup.:thumbsup2

Your right. Sadly it's just an emotion for self not that child.

shocking - spitz can rule out suicide on a 2.5 year old

Okay, there is an officer sitting in the chairs behind the podium, but I don't recall an officer being stationed there before. Any ideas why he might be there or did I just miss it in the past?

Spitz cut the top off the skull to look inside. Dr G did not.

Isn't that important? I respect Dr. G, but she comes across as a know-it-all, not just an experienced pathologist.

About the only thing he isnt saying that Dr. G says is there is no need to put duct tape on Caylee when she was already gone. I hope Mr. Ashton will address this issue. I know surprise not suicide.
