Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

The other day the judge told the jury that he was trying to get a catered buffet meal put together for them. Then today, he laughed when he told them to enjoy their lunch. He also said they were in recess til 1:30 or whenever the jury gets finished. I bet they are eating a pretty good buffet right about now.

Is the jury in this case responsible for their own lunch? I know I am when I have served jury duty but I have never been sequestered. If they are in a standard hotel room without cooking facilities and have to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner on their own dime at restaurants, that really stinks.

From what I understand and remember, they are being fed on the state's dime. There was an estimate put out a while ago that the sequestration is costing the State of Florida over $330,000

I believe that they have a conference room somewhere nearby the courtroom where the jury goes whenever they are sent out for breaks and for lunch. I'm sure that lunch is always brought in to them from different restaurants. As far as where they stay, it is most likely a heavily guarded undisclosed hotel somewhere, and their meals are brought in to them in that case as well. The judge doesn't want these jurors running around public places in Orlando for obvious reasons.

:scared1:

I hope the jury won't have turkey or a big meal and then have to listen to Baez this afternoon. If so, I'm betting some will fall asleep.

Does anyone wonder HOW on earth these jurors could eat together (don't know if they spend the nights in their rooms alone), but at least spend this time eating with these other people and NOT say a word about any of this? I couldn't do it...

I overeat at buffets, and then get sleepy. Not good. But maybe I wouldn't be eating so much today after testimony about training cadaver dogs with body parts, like a human foot. Maybe that's why they did the buffet today. ;)

I think this is just a case of doing what you have to do...and oh yeah, there are people watching you a lot too. But I'd find it VERY difficult. I'm claustrophobic, and this would make me feel very confined. I don't even like the idea of being on a cruise ship for fear of feeling like that. (I know...they're big and all, but you can't just get off and leave.)

I would think they are being watched because I certainly wouldn't be able to do that.. Can you imagine not even being able to say "Did you see that?"...

Judge is on the phone from the bench LOL! Wonder if they took the jurors out for lunch and they aren't back!

I can't imagine! Not for one minute.... they'd have to wire my jaw shut for me not to say anything... if I'm ever called up for such a jury duty I can use that as an excuse not to stay I guess...

That takes care of speaking , but what about nodding your head?

All of his cross examines (as you say) seem to be attempts to disprove of the body in the car....but then one must wonder...does Baez have too much knowledge to be able to make the case that the car was out of her possession long enough for George to have used that method of hiding Caylee? If the timeline proves that George did not have the car, then Baez cannot make the claim that George used the car to get rid of Caylee.

So I'm wondering if the reason he isn't going along with the "car" story--is because it doesn't fit the evidence or their scenario.

I think he is going with Casey didn't bury the body--so if Casey didn't do it, then George did and George didn't have access to the car until he picked it up at the tow yard. Or did he and I miss it?

I wondered this too. Obviously there wa a dead body in the trunk. I don't recall any point in the timeline that George could have used the car to "dispose" of the body. Casey wasn't home for that month so neither was the car and the tow guy was there when George opened the trunk so we know the body wasn't in it then. Seems like if George knew about the body and the smell he would have made the car "disappear" instead of having Cindy meet him at the tow place and bringing the car home. I'm actually curious as to why Casey didn't make the car disappear like drive it into a lake or something. She could have claimed she was car jacked.

Lights down. Now JB isn't the only one in the dark!

Good looking dogger in the photo.

Casey sure is busy playing paralegal today. Hasn't stopped taking notes.. or writing notes, or doodling... ..

My wesh feed on my computer is cutting in and out. Anyone else? Where else can I see the live feed?
