I know we have access to sites that have timelines for casey's actions and lies. I wonder if the jury will have a timeline to help them sort out the missing car, the trips to Target, the trips to bars, borrowing the shovel, etc.

Good Morning DIS Boards Sleuths, I have a question that has been most likely answered but I missed it ….

How was it determined that Caylee's death was ON June 16, 2008?

OK. I came into work and someone decided to open a bad email so Ive spent all morning cleaning up a virus so I missed it all. Did the State have any comment or was it just Folksy man speaking this am?

Last day anyone saw her alive! That evening Casey was on video strolling through town with the boyfriend.. alone.

OK so what does everyone think will happen at 11:15?
Don't know.

They're talking on InSession that Judge Perry could decide on the issue of acquittal, tell the defense to present their case first and rule before the jury deliberates, or after a guilty verdict he could set aside the verdict.

The suspense is killing me.

InSession is playing the full video of Caylee at the Nursing Home on Father's Day when they visited Cindy's father. OMG, what a sweetheart she was! :(

Agreed. :( It got to me at the end when she put her head down and her nose and mouth were in the crease of her elbow. I don't know, it just got me because of the duct tape I guess.

I just don't get this whole "accidental drowning" stuff. IF there was an accidental drowning WHY hasn't this come up before? Don't you all think ICA would have thrown this information out as soon as she had to go to jail? Do they really think we and the jurors are all so stupid as to think that she would sit in jail forever waiting to let us know "oh sorry, she accidently drowned and I was just covering it up."???? I mean, come on.

If she thought she could really throw her father or family under the bus to take the blame for her actions she would have done it along time ago and been on her merry way by now. :sad2::sad2:

Oh, ok, so it was nothing 'forensically' related that determined that was the date … simpy that was the last time anyone saw her. Thx.

Tomorrow will be the 3rd anniversary. :sad2: :sad1:

They also said on InSession that Judge Perry could reduce the charge to 2nd degree murder. I bet 2nd degree murder would be a shoe in for a guilty verdict, even tho personally 1st degree works for me.

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't stop thinking that since Casey has been proven a liar and is so quick to blame other people for her actions, that she would not point her finger immediately at her father if she in fact saw him holding Caylee's dead body. Why would she allow him to hide the body and go to jail for his actions? It doesn't make sense. Unless the defense would argue that she was terrified of him due to inappropriate behavior in the past. Which I don't believe happened. The defense is going to have to put Casey on the stand to testify to all of this. She is the only witness to all the allegations. Based on her demeanor and actions throughout the last 3 years, I find it hard to believe that she would take the blame if she was not responsible.

OK very interesting. Defense wants us to assume there was accident, as in accident equals innocence. Judge Perry seems to think that accident does not equal innocents and we do not have to presume there was an accident. He asked what evidence they have of an accident and Mason said none.

Don't know.

What defense? Pretty much in a nutshell it's what Perry asked Mason - do you have evidence of an accident? If there isn't any, then what are they going to present? Anything now is just mitigating factors for sentencing - as much as Baez and company thinks it's about finding her innocent. But I guess we will have to go through the formality of the defense taking it's turn.

I'll miss it - taking the kids out. Gonna have a little fun. :goodvibes

So I'm catching up. Went to the Orlando Sentinal web site and found this story about a toddler drowning in the family's pool:

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/os-toddler-drowns-pool-ocala-marion-20110615,0,3181482.story

This is what happens when a child accidentally drowns. No duct tape, no fake nanny, no long drawn out court case.

My heart goes out to that family for their loss.

I know how this is going to sound, but bear with me.

Dr. G said 100% of accidental drownings are reported. How can this be possible? 100% ? There are so many missing people/children that I'm thinking couldn't some of them have drowned accidentally with the accompanying person panicking and dumping the body somewhere never to be found?

I mean, common sense and plain old human feelings would make the person call 911, but we're all not the same and there have to be exceptions.

I was trying to see Casey as innocent. What if Caylee did accidentally drown in the pool under Casey's care and Casey covered it up because she's seriously mentally ill and so was able to jolly along with her day without feelings because she's only capable of loving her own well being? Can someone answer this without emotion playing a part in your response and just be unbiased for a moment, focusing on the possibility of Casey being mentally ill?

That's so heartbreaking. :(
They can't possibly acquit her, right? ugh.
OJ. I think we will forever think "OJ" about cases where a "guilty" verdict seems likely. And I'm with you on the "ugh".

Boy, am I feeling emotional after that video! Just thinking of Cindy and how she must feel, having wrapped her arms around and snuggled with that little girl, and then lost her in a most horrible way. Tomorrow I'm going to DD's Dr appt and will see the ultrasound of my first grandchild. (And maybe gender!) Yup, I'm emotional today.
