My kids were born long and fat. LOL When my first was born at 10 lbs 1 oz, one of the Drs (there was a team from NICU there) said "Wow, look at the thighs on her!" I thought "Swell, some of the first words my daughter is hearing is that she has fat thighs. She'll end up in therapy someday with repressed memories of her birth."

Legend has it that, when I was born, my father took one look and said "his head looks like a football!". I believe my mother was unable to cold-**** him from her position, but she got her point across.

Did Cindy get cross examined yet by Bozo or any of his team?

Not yet. Bozo is too busy trying to figure out if the jury is impressed more by his smirking or his smoke and mirrors tactics.

I suspect Lee knows something...he may or may not.

Wonder if it's this? Leonard Padilla (who bonded Casey out of jail the first time) told a local reporter this:

George Anthony told investigators he last saw Caylee alive Monday, June 16 as she left with Casey, who he thought was going to work.

It was the day after Father's Day and the day after witnesses say Casey and Cindy had a terrible fight over money that Casey allegedly stole from Cindy's mother.

Padilla, who had bonded Casey out of jail in the past, says George's story is not true. Eyewitness News reporter Kathi Belich talked to Padilla on the phone Tuesday.

Kathi: "George says he saw Caylee the next day."

Padilla: "She didn't leave the next day like George said."

Kathi: "Oh, you think George is lying about that?"

Padilla: "I know he is, yeah."

Kathi: "How do you know that?"

Padilla: "Because Lee says so."

Kathi: "What did Lee say?"

Padilla: "Lee says she left that night. She was upset and took off with the baby."

Kathi: "Lee actually told you that and you told investigators that when you were questioned?"

Padilla: "That's correct."

Leonard Padilla says Lee told him Cindy tried to choke Casey on Father's Day and that's when she took off with Caylee.

Eyewitness News learned Cindy Anthony denied that ever happened and Casey's defense team wanted to keep incriminating statements from Padilla and his associates a secret, claiming they were working for the defense.

Padilla says they were not and says after he bonded Casey out of jail, she did not seem desperate to find her missing toddler.

"It's almost like there was no daughter. There was no daughter missing. There was nothing to be concerned about," said Padilla

I'm not sure how I feel about Padilla. When he bailed her out, he was on Nancy Grace almost every night for a few months afterwards. He was also working on getting his own reality show on tv so at the time I remember always questioning what he said because if he didn't have something interesting to say...then they wouldn't want him back night after night...and if no one wants to watch him, who knows...maybe that TV deal for his show may fall through...

I have seen parents of sociopathic children who seem unwilling or unable to accept the depravity and amoral character of their offspring. I have wondered if is denial or guilt..maybe both. I have seen them support their grown children even though that child has committed horrible crimes against family members.

Is this what motivated the seemingly silly search for the nanny?? They so believed in her existence because they can not comprehend this level of deception which occurred for no apparent reason and went on so long? The only hope for Casey is If they can find some shred of credibility in anything she says? A parents innate need to protect a child? It seems crazy to me, but must make sense to them. I think Cindy may be facing reality about now.

I think you're right. I have issues about how I personally feel that Cindy tried to obstruct the investigation, but I do have to wonder if this wasn't why. I know that her own brother told her that she and George were in major denial over what had really happened, and she quit communicating with him. I think she refused to believe it. I would have hoped that she would have wanted justice for Caylee even more than to save Casey, but I suppose I can understand where she was coming from.

Because it show Casey that George & Cindy are united, united in their stories, united in what they will say on the stand.....and not going to let Casey bring them down with anymore lies. She can't play her parents against each other like she used to. She can't have Cindy control George for her anymore.

Casey is on her own now.
She's hurt that family enough.

I think you're right about this too. I think Cindy forced George to back her in her total support for Casey (even though I think he really had his suspicions all along). Now, they're being forced to recognize the situation as being exactly what it is. Very sad...

Yeah, there were lots of shady characters that came out of the woodwork during this saga. :rolleyes1

Does anyone else remember hearing about Cindy finding a pair of black pants in the trunk of Casey's car and washing them because the smelled horribly like the trunk of her car? For some reason I remember her talking about that and I thought omg..what if that's evidence and she just ruined it. I wonder if that will be brought up?

Yes, and I believe she sprayed the trunk down with Febreeze at some point.

I have been following this thread since the jury selection phase but haven't posted b/c I'm not watching so I really didn't have anything to add.

I don't understand, though, how people could think that George abused Casey? He seems so hen-pecked and not at all domineering. Appears to me that CASEY was running the show at the Anthony house and when she wasn't Cindy was. I'm no expert, but usually the abusee is not the dominate personality.:confused3

Catching up on some posts....:) I just accidently pressed "back" and thought I lost all my responses. :faint: Copying & pasting everything from now on!

Wasn't it six weeks ago that Jose Baez first put it out there that they were going to drop a bombshell and claim Casey was sexually abused by George?
I thought that was interesting too. It must've been when they found out the defense theory.

Does anyone here remember seeing a clip from the memorial service the Anthony's held for Caylee? Casey of course was in jail at the time but Lee spoke directly to Casey at the end of his tribute portion and said something like "CMA...I'll always keep my promise to you" - I want them to get him on the stand and I want to know what he knew about all of this.
I've always thought that was suspicious & cryptic.

I do not think Casey lies because Cindy is a hard***. I think it is the other way around.
I agree 100%.

They look at totality of events. (is totality a word?)
Her internet searches are pertinent due to everything else going on.
Thank goodness, because my internet searches would be suspicious too.:lmao:

MaryAnn posted it a bit back, but here it is again"
http://www.wftv.com/video/28058178/index.html

That was CRAZY. Normally Casey is very composed (unless she is crying crocodile tears for the jury). She really lost her temper.

I suspect Lee knows something...he may or may not. And I think his comments in that speech are questionable and suspicious. JMHO Everyone here can pick who they think Lee was referring to with any or all mention of "CMA", and we just don't know. And I think that's exactly what he wanted.

::yes::

If only Casey had put her talent at creating fiction to some good use!
::yes:: How did she come up with this stuff?

I know Bozo is an idiot.

This made me laugh out loud. :lmao:

I sit alone watching in my room! Good to find others interested in discussing the events.
Welcome to thread! You don't have to watch alone anymore. :)

Thank you very much.....DW took one look at it and said "Mom's in denial"
They were definitely in denial.

I REALLY wish I could read lips!
Me too!! Somebody take a class quick. :rolleyes1

Oh, just got to a computer with flash player and was able to watch that. What was Crasey so mad about?? She went on for quite awhile.

While I was out walking the dogs (after midnight! They were ready to kill me -whining "hey get off the computer, we haveee tooo gooooo") I was thinking about my post (1944) about Padilla saying George lied about seeing Casey leave the next day and that Lee said to him that after Cindy had a fight with Casey, Casey took the baby and left that night - I thought hmmm, what if that was true?

What if Casey did leave and go to Tony's, but knowing he wouldn't like Caylee spending the night she drugged and duct taped Caylee and placed her in the trunk to keep her quiet? It would also explain Cindy's denial, she wouldn't be able to face that an argument with her could have caused Caylee's disappearance.

Just thinking out loud, I need to go to bed. Hopefully Baez won't show up in my dreams! :scared1:

It's late, and I'm tired, so maybe I'm missing something obvious, but why would George lie about seeing Casey and Caylee leave together on 6/16, assuming of course, that he really did have nothing to do with what happened to Caylee, which I am assuming. Whether he says that Casey got mad and took Caylee on Sunday night or that she left with Caylee on Monday midday, either way she's still leaving alone with Caylee, no other person is involved, what would there to be gained by his lying? Was he just trying to back up to the police what Casey told them, that she took Caylee during the day and dropped her off with Zanny the nanny? I really just don't want to believe that George was involved with this.

Also, did it strike anyone else as odd that Cindy didn't see Caylee at all on the morning of the 16th before she went to work? Cindy was more like a mother figure to Caylee, wouldn't you think she would probably peek in on Caylee while she was asleep before she left for work?

OMG the meter reader MOVED the body to get fame for finding Caylee???

OK just one more post before bed :goodvibes

JMO but I don't think the meter reader (Kronk) had anything to do with anything in this case except finding the body. But you have to remember he was a bounty hunter in Tennessee until 2004, so I also believe he was motivated by the reward money (and probably some possible fame too).

Though "Kronk - The Bounty Hunter" doesn't ring like TV's "Dog The Bounty Hunter" so he probably won't get his own show :cutie:

I don't like Padilla either, and sometimes I wonder why Nancy Grace (who still has him on occasionally) asks him certain questions (which I don't quite remember offhand)...questions that seem unrelated to WHO Padilla is. KWIM? (Just started my first cup of coffee, so bear with me.) Like a legal issue...is he really the person she should be asking? But she does the same type of thing with Marc Klass (Polly Klass's father, found of KlassKids Foundation).

Dreams + Baez = nightmare! :scared1: Hope he stayed away! lol And I told my dog this morning that he was the most annoying human being I ever met (he pestered me for his morning treat).

I didn't know (I say that a lot!...I must either forget things, or i just don't pay attention...ADD!) that Padilla said that Lee said that. I remember that there was supposedly a big fight between Cindy and Casey...about the money she stole, wasn't it? Perhaps the whole combo of being confronted by that, and Cindy not "letting" Casey going swimming with Caylee just got to her. You've got an interesting theory there for sure, but then it does bring up the question of George...is he lying about it??

Sorry...didn't quote it (thought I did) but Crazy4Disney72...I don't think it would be that odd for Cindy not to check in on Caylee. Caylee slept often with Casey, and remember, at this point, they didn't have a reason to believe that Casey was this nuts. LIke Cindy said, she was "just the grandmother". I can definitely see her leaving early in the morning to go to work, and Casey and Caylee still being asleep and Cindy not checking on them.

The medical examiner states in the autopsy that when the body was found, the condition was consistent with having been there for months (ie, plant growth). Here's the autopsy report:

I'm going to put the autopsy report in the first thread. It's hard to decide what links to include in the first thread, because it could get crazy long! But that's factual information related to the whole case.

Here's the article about the autopsy being released. WARNING...there's information from the autopsy included in the article

I've been watching online from the Uk...so like the jury? I wasn't aware of a lot of the details of this case till the trial. And so far Iam thinking GUILTY!!!..of murder 1! Which surprises me as before the trial..from the brief stuff I was aware of I was thinking it was an accident gone wrong so manslaughter...but now ..Guilty of MURDER!!

I feel so sorry for poor George and Cindy..:sad2:...They seem like such a lovely hardworking couple...with a lovely home in Orlando..and they thought they had two wonderful children and a gorgeous granddaughter...Its so sad.

George seems like such a good dad...very meticulous around the house and yard...even cleaning his kids cars each weekend for them...:sad2:

How much can one man take?

Didn't Casey's phone records show she was at the Anthony's house that night/day of the 16th?
