I know this has been a ton of times before and I've always read the answers....but I can't remember the answer and now I actually need it...

We'll be driving in and arriving on a Saturday evening - where should we stop to buy cases of water for the week? Which walmart is the closest to the all stars resorts?

Thanks a bunch in advance! (Sorry to repeat a question...)

I'd imagine the one on SR535 (Apopka Vineland is it?) just south of DTD would be closest?

It's the one we always use when staying near DTD anyway :)

Go to Google Maps and enter Walmart near 32830 to find the location of all the Walmart near Walt Disney World. Click on the one you want and get directions.

This same tip works for just about anything. Want to know the nearest Pizza place? Just substitute Pizza for Walmart. How about Sam's? Same thing.

I took a case of water last week and only ended up using 8 bottles! The rest is now at home sitting in my dining room.

I found that we were leaving right after breakfast and if I went to pay for breakfast with an unopened bottle of water in my hand, they kept trying to charge me for it. I had to show them it wasn't the brand they were selling.

I got sick of dealing with that so I just left the bottles of water in the room and bought them at the park as I needed them.

We normally just carry 1 bottle of water into the park for each of us each morning and then one into the park for each of us after our break and we didn't have a bag so we had nothing to put them into.

This doesn't answer your question but it's just something we encountered at POFQ.

I brought a case of water in my suitcase because Jetblue allows one free checked bag. :) I was so glad I did! I probably saved at least $100 over the course of the trip. I just kept it in my backpack so I encountered no problems at cashiers.

Well we are planning on eating breakfast in the room each morning so I won't have to worry about carrying a bottle in the checkout line...

This is going to sound crazy but I am planning on stopping and buying 5 casesof water for 7 people for 6 nights! I know that sounds insane, but my husband will probably drink 3 cases all by himself? He is a huge runner and is always aware of keeping hydrated!! Plus it will be August so I know it will be awfully hot...

Thanks for all of the input.

This thread makes me laugh for personal reasons. Publix has had Aquafina on sale all week. I was in the first day of the sale and got 6 cases. several days later I needed milk and picked up 5 more cases, over the week end I stopped in for fruit and got more. I just got home from Publix. Today was the last day of the sale and I got 5 more. My family thinks I am crazy, but if its on sale and I would buy it anyway, why not. My little house has cases of water sitting everywhere!!!!:rotfl: Stella is making water tables and water walls to play behind!!!

Teresa,

I'll send Captain Hydration (aka the hubby) over to help Stella!

So back to the original question....where should I stop?

(We'll be coming south on I95 and then I4 so if there is a more convenient one that's fine...

Thanks!

Well there's still the one I mentioned earlier, which is probably nearest to Disney, but there's also one you'll pass going south on I4

8990 Turkey Lake Road, Orlando, FL, United States‎ - (407) 351-4142‎

Come off I4 at 74a and go down Turkey Lake Road (by the looks of google maps) :)
